And I’m not just talking Disney live action’s, I’m talking about any live action movie.🤣💖

🙌🏾💖🎉 I don’t know how this update went under the radar, but I’m super excited that the PRINCESS TIANA LIVE-ACTION MOVIE is out of the negotiation phase and OFFICIALLY HAPPENING!!!!

• During the #Emmys red carpet, Colman Domingo confirmed the highly anticipated #Disney live-action film is actively moving forward, stating that it is officially happening and out of the negotiation phase.

• He noted that casting is not yet underway—though he joked about receiving tons of casting suggestions from Tiana‘s legions of fans in his direct messages—and expressed enthusiasm at the prospect of the iconic Anika Noni Rose returning in some capacity.

• My personal top casting choices are R&B singer and #BelAir #Hilary actress Coco Jones as Princess Tiana, and Jeff Jackson, lead actor of the global blockbuster phenomenon #Michael as Prince Naveen. But I’m also open to many other talented, rising Black actors, as I stated in my original post when the news about the film being in talks first broke.

It is no secret that Princess Tiana has not been given the love and respect she deserves from Corporate Disney…
• Never getting an animated sequel.
• Her Disney+ show being canceled and demoted to a small special.
• Fans having to trend the hashtag #TianaDeservesBetter.
• Corporate Disney not publicly coming out and condemning the racist backlash TIANA’S BAYOU ADVENTURE received when it debuted as the new overlay to Splash Mountain—the latter of which was based on the now universally condemned, racist Disney movie ‘Song of the South,’ which has been removed from Disney+ globally.

But even when facing all of that adversity, PRINCESS TIANA has become one of the most beloved and successful Disney princesses of all time. Millions of fans are highly anticipating this new live-action film and hoping Corporate Disney does right by the iconic first Black Disney Princess.

I’m predicting filming will start in late 2027, with a hopeful release in late 2028. As many of you know, PRINCESS TIANA is one of my all-time favorite characters, and this is easily one of my most anticipated upcoming Black-led projects, next to #Marvel’s #BlackPanther3 and the new live-action #XMen movie, Sony Animation's #SpiderMan Beyond the Spider-Verse, WB Animation's #BadFairies, and Disney Animation's #Hexed, alongside #ChildrenOfBloodAndBone and The #ThomasCrownAffair! 🎬👑
