It has been 135 days since 18 Cambodian soldiers were captured under the captivity of the Thai military.
Cambodia urgently calls on the Thai side to strictly, honestly, and in good faith uphold the Joint Declaration on the Peace Agreement between Cambodia and Thailand, particularly paragraph 5, which clearly states that
“The Thai side must promptly release the 18 Cambodian soldiers” Cambodia also urges Thailand to respect and fulfill all obligations under international law, especially international humanitarian law, by releasing the Cambodian soldiers as soon as possible so that they may be safely reunited with their families.
It must also be underscored that the Royal Government of Cambodia has been and will continue to make relentless efforts, utilizing all available mechanisms for the Thai military to release and repatriate our 18 soldiers as promptly and safely as possible.
The Royal Government, the Ministry of National Defence, and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces will never abandon any of our troops under any circumstances.

WATCH VIDEO: A school in Cambodia’s Preah Vihear province was destroyed and turned into a huge crater following brutal attack by a Thai military F-16 on 11 Dec 2025.
Preah Vihear Temple, long inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, must never be targeted in armed conflict. Any attack on it constitutes a serious violation of international law and the ethical principles governing warfare.

Trump says he’ll “make a phone call tomorrow” to stop the fighting between Cambodia and Thailand. He puts it like this:
“Tomorrow I have to make a phone call and I think they’ll get it.”
“Who else could say, I’m going to make a phone call and stop a war of two very powerful countries? It’s Thailand and Cambodia, they’re going at it again, but I’ll do it.”
If a call somehow de-escalates the situation, good. People on both sides are being shelled and displaced, and anything that reduces the harm is welcome. But I’m not holding my breath. This escalation is being driven by decisions in Bangkok and Phnom Penh, and it sits on top of a long, unresolved border dispute. It isn’t the kind of crisis that disappears because one person picks up the phone.
The Thai Army attacked the Somrong market while civilians were still there. For many Cambodiansh this is seen as an act of invasion - a painful reality expressed through their voices.

I wonder what his issue is. He spent over 1 minute acknowledging that major international media like CNN reported that Thailand actually attacked Cambodia, but he framed it as protecting sovereignty. But throughout the whole video, he tried to make us believe that those headlines are fake news? Like… what? What exactly is his conclusion? I also have brought some words that many Cambodians want to say to you after watching your video.
