On my way to the ground in Delhi and my heart sank when I saw people feeding a whole army of pigeons. Doctors have been shouting from the rooftops about the dangers of inhaling pigeon droppings and the severe lung disease it could lead to. Please, let us stop feeding pigeons.
Gosh! #SaptaSagaradaacheEllo: Side B was intense, haunting & hard hitting. First things first, whoever came up with the idea to use the sound of beach waves as the end credits BGM is pure genius. After a movie this brutal, it’s exactly what I, as a viewer, needed to calm my heart rate before stepping back into the real world. That played for 5 mins straight. Goosebumps!
Though not as wholesomelg entertaining a ride as Side A, you know it's intentional. Early on, Prakasha (who has a superb role) tells Manu, 'Think of the world as a bigger jail'. That's pretty much the tone of the movie. I wasn't sure what genre to classify this under. Revenge drama/Action drama/Romance tragedy?
@rakshitshetty delivers a performance of a lifetime as a problematic stalker/madman, someone who will go to any lengths to ensure his ex-lover leads a happy family. Alia Bhatt look alike @Chaithra_Achar_ is brilliant as the sex worker Surabhi & the Manu-Surabhi chemistry organically evolves till the climax. @rukminitweets’s presence is limited but impactful. It's more an out & out Rakshit show. He looks like an absolute tank & I was happy that he got to bash the bad guys more in Side B! That climax action block was terrific!
Many warned me about the brutal, tragic climat, but I loved it. It’s an absolutely fitting conclusion to Manu’s arc. He’s been living in a mental jail, with nothing to look forward to except Priya leading a better life & he dies knowing exactly that. An inevitable finish.
You know you’re deep in Hemanth Rao’s world when you instantly recognize Rukmini Thambi Vinodhaa as the same guy who played Babloo in #Kaavaludaari! Can't wait for him to cast Mailur Srinivas in his next film! 😂
Top work by @charanrajmr2701 once again. Kelu Kelu Ushirey, with the use of synth beats, was pure majaa. Mega stuff by @hemanthrao11 & team, delivering an absolute cinema experience across Side A and Side B, putting Kannada cinema on a great pedestal
In a suburb of Paris, local primary school kids will learn about galaxies and dark matter and dark energy by playing Lego and watching movies of cosmology simulations on VR headsets. In India, we don't even give enough protein to kids and fight over that.
Kannada Cinema made one of the most heartbreaking romantic sagas in 2023 & everyone should know about it!
Sapta Sagardaache Ello Directed by Hemanth Rao ❤️
The movie had me weeping for days!
I don't know what terrible things you've done in your life up to this point, but clearly, your karma is out of balance for you to be assigned to my class. I'm Professor Annalise Keating, and this is Criminal Law 100 , or as I prefer to call it.....
HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER
17 children. most under 5 have died now from contaminated cough syrup designed to kill. The perennially outraged Indian is muted, indifferent even, caught up in a vortex of non issues. If ever heads should roll, it is now. Not transfers, or arrest of doctors, but mass crackdown
We have children dying because of greed, apathy, neglect, corruption, poverty in our country. But yet incels from the far right have the audacity to make fun of suffering children from war torn countries.
Help me understand this.
12 children in Rajasthan died because their cough syrups were contaminated with toxic DEG made by Kayson Pharma.
11 children died in Madhya Pradesh after consuming contaminated cough syrup made by Shreesan Pharma.
This was proven through lab testing by Madhya Pradesh (MP) and Tamil Nadu government labs.
But the Ministry of Health, India told people that the cough syrups were clean and then one mother who gave the cough syrup to her child in Rajasthan was jailed and a doctor who prescribed cough syrup in MP was arrested.
No one from the company that manufactured these killer syrups were arrested or jailed. One manufacturer, Kayson Pharma was already blacklisted in 2023 for poor quality drugs. Why were these reptiles led back into the contract?
If one of the children who died was that of some big business magnate who gave funds to political party in power, or belonged to a politician, the story would have been so much different right?
What kind of governance are we stuck with? A government that does not care for their children is a liability and a burden to citizens, not an ally and shield. India is turning to be the circus that the jokers who elected the jokers want it to be.
For the underprivileged, every new day feels like a bonus in this country,
It's nice to know Rishab heard the criticism for the 1st movie and worked on it in this film. Yet to catch up with this movie though. Not a fan of mass movies, but will always make an exception for Kantara. It's not always you'd get to see a movie made on our bhoota khola.
Rishab Shetty avoids the easy route of making a simple cash grab sequel. Instead of repeating the peak moments of Kantara, he takes a bolder path by reaching back into a godly past and layering the story with a strong folktale narrative. The film also improves in areas where the first part had faced criticism. It may be too early to compare with the original, since none of us were ready for that kind of experience back then, but as a sequel Kantara Chapter 1 succeeds both in story and in spirit. Kaafi sahi 👌
