@FromPhDtoLife Usask full funding ranged 17k-20k. Up to 25k if you got certain awards. Then tuition off of that, it’s mostly taxed and expected 10-12 hours of ta/ra work on top. Usually offers are 3-4 years funding only IME

@jburnford We wait until an emergency sticks them in the ER where a nice doctor hold them so the psychiatrist can see and assess them. Other child flagged as high party by school doctors and the psychiatry nurse took almost 18 months to get in with the psychiatrist. It is a horrible system

@apihtawikosisan OMG yes- my office- trying to teach my online class- got dropped FIVE TIMES. I had better luck on guest- but then that acted up in the afternoon during my office hours (on Zoom for my lie students) I had to use my phone to hot spot)I did an IT ticket but haven't heard back yet

@apihtawikosisan Hard on including Canadian history in their black history course. We are definitely behind but there are some good changes happening the last couple years.

@apihtawikosisan There is some good moves against this! Some cohort hires the last year or so. And also here a u of a I know our department takes effort to include black history in our Canadian survey courses. We also have a fab ats lecturer doing American and black history who is working

@TammyNeid @apihtawikosisan Oh I know they aren’t irrelevant. But the students (well those who’ve consistently not attended) seem to think they are not necessary. I think so many things we’ve changed to due to pandemic in our teaching are fantastic, but there’s some things to be worked out
