American judge Frank Caprio, who's known for his touching courtroom videos online, has passed away due to pancreatic cancer, according to a post on his official Facebook page. He was 88.

"In his honor, may we each strive to bring a little more compassion into the world — just as he did every day," the statement said.

Makati Mayor Abby Binay, in a statement on Friday, said that the signs for Gil Tulog Ave., which replaced the signs for Gil Puyat Ave. as part of an advertising campaign, have been changed back.

Binay disclosed that the request for a permit for the “so-called advertising campaign” to change the street signs of Gil Puyat Avenue did not reach her office. “Kung dumaan sa akin 'yan, rejected 'yan agad.”

Binay also said that the city officials who issued the permit have already been reprimanded “for this glaring oversight.” “[They] should have exercised prudence. They should have been more thorough.”

“Dapat inisip ang kaguluhan na maaaring idulot sa mga motorista at komyuter. At dapat ay binigyang halaga ang respeto sa pamilya at sa alaala ni dating Senate President Gil Puyat,” Binay said.

“Humihingi ako ng paumanhin sa ating mga kababayan at sa pamilya ni dating Senate President Puyat,” she concluded.
