Good morning, Patriots!
Here is your Week in Review. Every Sunday morning at 8:30 A.M. I’ll recap the top stories through the lens of Faith, Family, and Freedom. Let’s stay informed, stay united, and keep building together. 🇺🇸
Top 5 for the week of Sunday June 21st through Saturday June 27th, 2026:
1. US-Iran Talks Advance in Switzerland Amid Hormuz Disputes and Lebanon Tensions
The first round of direct US-Iran negotiations since the interim ceasefire began took place in Switzerland, mediated by Pakistan and Qatar. Discussions covered the Strait of Hormuz status, Iran’s nuclear program, and the ongoing Israel-Hezbollah fighting in Lebanon. Iran claimed it would keep the strait closed until certain conditions are met, while the US maintained commercial shipping continues. Special envoy Steve Witkoff and Vice President JD Vance were involved in the diplomatic push. We pray for wise, strength-through-peace leadership that secures American interests, protects our troops and allies, safely reopens vital trade routes, and delivers a lasting resolution that deters aggression and honors our values.
2. Supreme Court Delivers Major Wins for Trump Administration on Immigration and TPS
The Supreme Court issued key rulings allowing the Trump administration to terminate Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for certain groups and block asylum claims at the border in a major policy victory. Additional decisions addressed protections for Haitian and Syrian immigrants and a Roundup herbicide case. These outcomes strengthen enforcement priorities and are being hailed as significant America First achievements. We pray for leaders who uphold the rule of law, protect our borders, and defend the sovereignty and security of the United States.
3. Venezuela Hit by Devastating Earthquakes, Death Toll Exceeds 1,400
A powerful series of earthquakes struck western Venezuela, including a magnitude 7.5 mainshock, causing widespread destruction, thousands injured or missing, and a death toll surpassing 1,400. Rescue efforts face challenges amid infrastructure damage and international sanctions complications. The US and other nations are monitoring humanitarian needs. We pray for the people of Venezuela in this time of tragedy, for swift rescue and recovery operations, and for God’s comfort and protection over affected families and communities.
4. US Faces Extreme Heat Dome and Widespread Wildfires
A dangerous heat dome brought scorching temperatures across much of the country, with wildfires burning in California and other Western states. The combination of extreme heat, drought conditions, and fire risk prompted warnings and evacuations in multiple regions. We pray for the safety and protection of all Americans in harm’s way, for first responders and firefighters battling the blazes, for swift containment, and for God’s mercy and healing over impacted communities.
5. Trump Administration Advances Key Appointments and 250th Anniversary Preparations
President Trump nominated a new ICE director and highlighted ongoing work transforming the National Mall ahead of America’s 250th birthday celebrations. These efforts underscore priorities in border security and national heritage. We pray for leaders who faithfully execute their duties, strengthen our institutions, and honor America’s founding principles and history.
Standing strong for Faith • Family • Freedom always.
May God bless you, your families, our troops, law enforcement officers, and the United States of America!

I have a question for the parents out there.
I picked my son up from summer day camp today and he was limping badly. He told me he fell earlier and landed on his face and knee. His nose is scraped up with abrasions, and his knee is causing him real pain—he’s struggling to walk.
I wasn’t notified at all. No phone call. Nothing mentioned when I arrived to pick him up.
He also shared that yesterday he was hit in the back of the head and on top of his head. He said it hurt and he had a headache. Again, we received no call and no one said a word.
As a parent, I expect to be informed about any injury—especially anything involving the head. What are your thoughts on this?
Have you dealt with similar situations at camps or programs? What do you think should be done? How would you handle the conversation with the camp, and at what point would you consider escalating or looking at other options?

Here's two of my house projects that have kept me pretty busy the last two weeks.
Master bath shower had to be demolished & redone due to failed shower pan.
Tesla charger also needed to be installed ahead of picking up our Model 3 next week! Lots of work, but worth it! Enjoy!
