I wasted half my day on Indian government nonsense.

- My passport is almost out of pages
- So I need a new one
- Fill out many forms, pay extra for “fast service” because I’m traveling soon
- Get there and “you must leave your passport here, new one arrives in 6-8 weeks”
- …can I not keep it until the new one arrives and then switch?
- “no sir the moment you submit this we cancel your current one and you have no passport for the next 6-8 weeks until the new one arrives”
- …
- why?
- “that’s the rules sir”
- …but the rule doesn’t make sense?
