#NewsPunch | Indian Railways has approved the deployment of Kavach Version 4.0, the indigenous Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system, over 680 km of the Rewari–Delhi and Shakur Basti–Bathinda sections, including feeder branch lines, at a cost of ₹206 crore.

The move is part of the nationwide rollout of Kavach, developed by the RDSO, to enhance rail safety by preventing collisions, automatically applying brakes when required, and providing real-time alerts to loco pilots for safer and more reliable train operations.

My beloved elder brother, Shri Mista Prasad Sonowal, a retired officer of the State Bank of India, is no longer with us. A short while ago, he left this mortal world for his heavenly abode. He was a true guiding light in my life, a source of boundless courage and endless inspiration.

From my very childhood, at every step of my journey, my brother's affection, discipline, sacrifices and strong values inspired me to walk the righteous path. He constantly motivated me to empathise with the pain and suffering of others, and to work for our society and nation with unwavering dedication, integrity and a deep sense of responsibility.

Although my brother is no longer physically present among us, his ideals and blessings will remain with me at every single moment. I pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul. Kokaideo, wherever you are, may you rest in eternal peace. Om Shanti.
