Why this discrimination against Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) of the 2021 batch?
If the NMC can consider multiple mercy petitions for students admitted from 2019 onwards, why are the students of the 2021 batch being treated differently?
Many students secured admission to foreign medical universities before 31 March 2021, after NEET-UG 2021 results were declarations.
Indian medical colleges admitted students as late as April 2022, due to delayed NEET-UG examination & result, yet these students have been treated as part of the 2021 batch.
Why should foreign medical students who secured admission before 31 March 2021 be denied similar consideration under the Screening Test Regulations, 2002, when their circumstances warrant a fair and consistent assessment?
Is it fair to apply different standards to Indian medical students and Foreign Medical Graduates who belong to the same academic period?
I urge the Hon’ble Prime Minister, the Union Health Minister and the National Medical Commission to examine this issue urgently and ensure that no student is subjected to arbitrary or discriminatory treatment.
These students deserve fairness, a reasoned decision and equal consideration, not uncertainty about their future.
Respected Shri J.P. Nadda Ji,
Thousands of FMGs seek your urgent intervention regarding serious concerns in the FMGE June 2026 examination conducted by NBEMS:
• Video-based questions introduced without prior notice or additional time
• Poor exam-centre facilities, including inadequate cooling, ventilation & drinking water
• Unexpected increase in difficulty and time pressure
• High examination fee of ₹6,195
• No official answer key/response sheet, raising transparency concerns
• Candidates reporting identical/similar scores across attempts
• Severe physical and mental stress faced by aspirants
We respectfully request an independent inquiry, greater transparency, release of answer keys/response sheets, review of the fee, and appropriate relief including consideration of a cutoff reduction for FMGE June 2026 candidates.
We seek only fairness, transparency and justice.

As discussed in our previous meeting on 17-3-26 regarding the one-time exemption of the FMGL-21 regulation, many students faced delays in reaching their respective countries of admission due to COVID-19 and delay in NeetUG 2021, while some from the same batch
Dear @NMC_BHARAT
As discussed in our previous meeting on 17-3-26 regarding the one-time exemption of the FMGL-21 regulation, many students faced delays in reaching their respective countries of admission due to COVID-19 and delay in Neetug 2021,while some from the same batch were able to begin earlier.
This has resulted in unequal application of the FMGL-21 regulation within the same batch of students.
On behalf of all FMGs, I respectfully request @NMC_BHARAT to grant an exemption and implement the regulation uniformly from 2022 onwards.
