First impressions of @opencode newly released "Cat Jam" model

I’ve only done some initial runtime testing so far, but one thing immediately blew me away:

Nearly 200 tokens/sec. 🤯

Honestly, I’m more impressed by its speed than its intelligence at this point.

Is this speed normal, or am I missing something? 👀

Just read Anthropic’s new engineering post.
While everyone else is fighting over always-on agents (Muse, Grok Bot, Dots…), Anthropic seems focused elsewhere.
Claude agents pushed their daily code merges from ~2.5k in May to over 30k by September. Coding is no longer the bottleneck, they had to build an entirely new source control system (Scion) in five months just to keep up. Claude helped write that infrastructure too.
Quietly accelerating the self-iteration loop instead of joining the agent wars.
Are we already on the page before AGI?

Spent the entire weekend vibe coding on the beta OpenCode iOS app. Honestly, I'm impressed.

OpenCode is already my daily driver, and I'm very comfortable with the harness.

Now I can vibe code on the go without a computer. One of my biggest pain points is finally gone.

The result? I'm finding myself needing T3 Code less and less.

Huge props to the @opencode team. You nailed it. 👏

I upgraded about 18 hours ago. At the time, my Grok free plan usage was already at 56%. After upgrading, the plan correctly switched to Plus, but the usage didn’t reset.
Since then I’ve only used regular Chat (no image, video, or agentic usage). In the past ~18 hours it’s gone from 56% to 87% of the weekly allowance.

I upgraded from X Premium Legacy to X Subscription Plus this morning. Here are my Day 1 impressions

1️⃣ I heard some users got their usage limits reset after upgrading. Mine didn’t. Is this a bug?

2️⃣ Chat alone seems to burn through my usage WAY faster than Premium Legacy did. And that’s without even touching Build.

3️⃣ I tested OAuth login with both OpenCode and CPA. Both worked, and Build is accessible. But honestly, I’m afraid to use it.

If Chat alone burns through usage this fast, how many prompts will I get with Build before hitting the limit? 💀

Anyone else experiencing the same thing, or is it just me?

Would love to hear your actual usage experience, especially if you’re using OpenCode or CPA with Plus.

For now, I’d hold off on upgrading from Premium Legacy to Plus. At least until we get some clarity on the usage limits.
