So let me get this straight.
Jake Tapper is focused on attacking my Mom.
Jared and Ivanka are building a private island paradise on Albanian protected land.
Don Jr married the daughter of Epstein’s banker, and a startup his fund backs just got a record $620M Pentagon loan.
Eric is taking an Israeli drone company public for $1.5B in the middle of a war with Iran that nobody wanted.
And I know: “But what about your paintings, Hunter?”
Please.
@RepScottPerry Fight against the illegal warrantless ICE raids. ICE is terrorizing workplaces, homes and people with no judicial warrants. Ripping families and communities apart harassing American citizens and legal residents. Less than 10% of people arrested have a violent criminal record
Farmers have figured out that the cheapest pesticide is a strip of flowers.
When you plant wildflowers through a crop field, not just around the edge but in strips running through the middle, you get ladybugs, lacewings, hoverflies, and parasitic wasps living in the field instead of visiting it.
They eat the aphids, the caterpillars, and the mites for free, all summer long.
In controlled trials, fields with tailored flower strips had leaf-beetle numbers 40 to 50% lower and crop damage cut by around 60%, enough to drop below the threshold where spraying was even considered worth it.
The flowers attract a standing army to our fields.
We spent decades engineering chemicals to kill the insects eating the crop, when the insects that eat those insects would have worked for the price of seed.
@JBBQ211014@Pasghetti45@RealPData Republicans control 7 of the states governors, NC has a dem governor but reps have controlled their state house and senate since 2010. The 8 other states republicans have had the majority for decades so you could argue that republicans policies are the cause of that if you wanted
@JBBQ211014@Pasghetti45@RealPData The 10 states with highest homicide rates. Only 2 are democratic leaning states.
Louisiana — ~10.8 per 100,000
New Mexico — ~10.5
Alabama — ~8.7
Tennessee — ~7.9
Missouri — ~7.8
North Carolina — ~7.5
South Carolina — ~7.5
Mississippi — ~7.4
Arkansas — ~7.3
Maryland — ~7.2
@JBBQ211014@Pasghetti45@RealPData Bidens American rescue plan sent billions of dollars so cities & states for them to hire more police, provide more funding for overtime pay, community violence intervention and anti-gun-trafficking stuff. He also signed the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act early in his presidency
@JBBQ211014@Pasghetti45@RealPData That citation has nothing to do with undocumented immigrants. It’s just saying that a small percentage of the overall population are repeat offenders who commit a disproportionately large share of crimes.
@JBBQ211014@Pasghetti45@RealPData An analysis of leaked ICE data from the Cato Institute found 73% of people booked into ICE custody had no criminal conviction, and only 5% had a violent conviction. Only 5% of his deportations were violent criminals so undocumented people had very little effect on the decline
@JBBQ211014@Pasghetti45@RealPData Homicide rate spiked dramatically in 2019-2020 about 30% before Covid and jumped another 6% 2020-2021. Then from 2021-2022 it began to decrease -6%, then decreased more the next 2 years. Would be more accurate to say Bidens policies caused the rate to drop.
Jimmy Carter put solar panels on the White House in 1979, and he never stopped pushing for renewable energy.
In 2017, at 92, he leased 10 acres of his own farmland in Plains, Georgia to SolAmerica. The 3,852 panels generate 1.3 megawatts on a clear day and supply over half the town's electricity.
The contract runs through 2042. By then it will have produced 55 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy.
UGA researchers are now using the site to study agrivoltaics, planting wildflowers under the panels to support pollinators while the array generates power above them.
Rosalynn Carter championed pollinator corridors before her death in 2023. The wildflowers under the panels are partly her legacy.
Carter passed away in December 2024 at 100, in the same town where he was born and farmed peanuts.
The panels he leased the land for keep turning toward the sun, powering the town that raised him, on land his family worked for generations.
I simply cannot believe I live in a timeline where journalists helped force the last president out of his reelection campaign for being too old, so the country put an unstable 79 year old who falls asleep constantly in office and none of the same journalists care at all.
Let me tell you something
As someone who lived in Philly Abbott Elementary and Always Sunny in Philadelphia are basically documentaries because people from Philly are naturally the funniest people on Earth lmao
@alark67339@abbydphillip You were able to get educated and purchase homes because the government subsidized it and strong unions gave people livable wages. Then Reagan came along and you guys turned your back on the policies that made you able to achieve the American dream and went down hill from there.
The administration who convinced an entire generation of Americans to not go to college and pick up a trade instead has now decided they’re going to shut down the nations largest trade school who trained and educated the entire generation of Americans who were told not to go to college.
