This may come as a shock to people given how much Iโve come to the defense of mainstream Dems(both mod and prog) and with how blue my voting record is, but Iโm a registered Republican whose the child of Reagan Republicans and whose political formative years were the early 2010s
Who were the Republicans that broke the Blue Dog Dems hold on political power in the South? Who were the Republicans that forced the national Dems into triangulating in the 90s and passed significant conservative reform at the state and local levels in the 2010s?
Democracy only works if there are strong checks and balances to temper the excesses and smoothen the edges of popular sovereignty. Thatโs why the Founders saw the Roman Republic and post Glorious Revolution England as models but Athenian democracy as a warning
@nobodyknows2322@usrbinsean The reason Downtown Mesa is so revitalized is the LDS Church was tired of having their temple in the area in such an old and dilapidated area so they bought out the surrounding real estate from the owners and redeveloped the whole area
PA-03 socialist Chris Rabb: "The reason we have direct election of U.S. Senators was because of socialists. That was moderates' option to keep abolition off the table."
The 17th amendment passed in 1912 and socialists had absolutely nothing to do with it.
Horseshoe theory includes some progressives having the QAnon adjacent belief that there is a sleeping giant of left wing believers who will finally show up once we have rid the party of moderates and libs
No. High speed rail is not feasible in the U.S. outside of certain regions. Oh and the one thing those regions all have in common is they have very Byzantine permitting processes and restrictive land use regulations that make it very expensive and time consuming to build
Weโre the only first world nation to use primaries. Everyone else uses central committees or conventions. The closest nation to us is the UK, but even then candidates have to be screened and approved by the party before being allowed to be a potential candidate.
We said no more foreign wars and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise.
But heโs betrayed us all.
Our commitment is America First for all Americans, right, left, and center.
The movement has begun.
@nobodyknows2322 Yep, their transportation minister tweeted this. If you go to his timeline, youโll see someone with a really bad case of American and Israeli derangement disorder
@Ruffin_Shot@nobodyknows2322@Finnish_Dragon Apparently Israel is now behind it. At least according to online anti semites and one of the Spanish governmentโs state ministers
I mean the reason there are different brands of water is there are multiple different water sources which produce different types of water that consumers like
@nobodyknows2322 I can see it now. AOC will run on nationalizing data centers while Newsome, Kamala, and Pete all argue in favor of strict regulations and requiring them to be constructed with union labor
There was a good two months where he took all my bait as gospel. I even got him to believe that Trumpโs 2024 campaign strategy was to campaign towards inner city minorities by having local street performers and rappers perform at his rallies
One of my proudest moments will always be convince Rufus that Taylor Swift was going to do a concert tour around America campaigning for Kamela Harris and that the GOPโs countermove was to have Kid Rock do a concert tour of his own for Trump and getting Rufus to post it on here

@nobodyknows2322 I so canโt wait for the Dem debates where all but one or two candidates try selling America on their own version of Medicare for All, Replacing or radically changing ICE, data center restrictions, and eliminating or conditioning aid to Israel
@nobodyknows2322 Kamelaโs already come out in favor of expanding the SCOTUS and abolishing the Electoral College. It wonโt be long before she inevitably endorses a data center moratorium and Medicare for All
@AugustaPatriot@WISupremacist Wait sheโs Korean? Quick, we must ask her for her opinions on elite colleges and the crime and demographic statistics of Atlanta
