Proud dad of 3 great kids, humble husband who out punted his coverage. Funeral Director, rugby player, Sig Tau, parrot head & baseball coach.;you figure it out!
I have lived in Fayetteville for 36 years. My husband & son went to Arkansas. I went to KU and am a diehard Jayhawk fan who cheers for the Hogs unless they’re playing my alma mater.
That being said … Arkansas fans need to stop poking fun of KU’s ballpark and complaining about it. Yes, it’s very small and it’s far inferior to your ballpark (and that’s putting it nicely).
KU earned their spot to host a regional. And Arkansas got robbed of hosting one. Both are true.
The NCAA has requirements to host; KU obviously met them.
Again, we know our ballpark is small and basic. Why? Cause we’ve not been good until the last two years. We’re a program on the rise. Isn’t that what makes sports great? The facility does not dictate success. Players & coaches do. Now KU, led by our awesome AD @tgoff11 can parlay our recent success into facility improvements.
So go to Lawrence, explore the beautiful campus, inside Allen Fieldhouse, Mass Street, all the eateries and bars and have a ball cheering on your team.
May the best team win. Rock Chalk!

If you’re pulling into a gas station this Memorial Weekend, complaining about the inconvenience of paying more at the pump…consider the sacrifice of the soldier, sailor, or Marine, making their sacrifices for our lives and our freedom. Exchange your complaint for a prayer.
My grandfather said he’d never move into a retirement home.
He said, “Too expensive… and the food tastes like someone boiled sadness.”
Instead, he checked into a beachfront hotel.
We asked, “Grandpa, isn’t that even more expensive?”
He smiled and said, “Not really.
At the retirement home, I’d pay $200 a day for cold meatloaf and no visitors.
But here? For $150 a day, I get ocean views, room service, fresh towels, a pool…
…and suddenly all my grandkids remember I exist every weekend.”
Then he leaned back in his chair and delivered the final line like a mob boss:
“And if I die in the hotel lobby, the manager will actually look disappointed.
But at the nursing home? They just call it Tuesday.”
☀️ Today in Utqiagvik (the northernmost city in the United States), the sun rose above the horizon at 2:57 AM and won’t set again for 84 straight days or until August 2nd! Here's a look at a timelapse showing the sunset and sunrise this morning. #akwx
My nagging wife died suddenly on a trip to Jerusalem...
Funeral director: "Sir, it would cost about £45,000 if we send her home back to the UK or £500 if we bury her here in Jerusalem."
Me: "Ship her home."
Funeral director: "But sir, why don't you bury her here in the Holy Land and you can save money."
Me: "A long time ago a man was buried here and 3 days later he rose from the dead, I can't take that risk."

TSA is handling the entrance gates at Kaufman Stadium so if you’re looking for first pitch ya missed it but the 7th inning stretch is possible….maybe! @Royals
