The past week has seen a flurry of emotions, opinions, and commentary shared far and wide across the social sphere regarding Bonnaroo — including some right here.

But with today’s news of 100% refunds now on the way to attendees, the festival and its broader management deserve real credit for listening and doing right by the fans. Many events simply don’t or won’t. And in a space where blame and pressure are often applied (rightfully or not), credit should also be given when actions merit it — and this one does.

This move will also go a long way in easing the frustration and disappointment felt by many this year, and start to mend those relationships with both new and longtime fans.

With that...a significant page can now be turned — and thoughtful, forward-looking conversations about what comes next in the Bonnaroo story can begin in earnest.

For now though, here’s to the next show and the summer ahead.

I’ve been speaking with a few events this week looking to support Bonnaroo attendees — and @CapitolGroove in Hartford, Connecticut is really stepping up.

With that said, any Bonnaroo attendee will receive FREE entry into Capitol Groove next weekend — June 28 & 29 — to catch Khruangbin, Bleachers, Thundercat + more.

Here’s all you need to do to secure your tickets: show proof of Bonnaroo purchase along with matching ID — either by emailing [email protected] or presenting it in person at the on-site box office.

That said, while that’s exciting for Hula, our hearts break for the fans, vendors, artists, staff, and organizers who lost out last weekend after months of planning. No one wants to ever see something like that happen. Roo has changed the culture + inspired us all for 2+ decades. These weekends, lineups, and moments hold sacred space for us all and we encourage y’all to not forget that.
