Sudanese army controls the Nile Valley and access to Red Sea, RSF controls bulk of rest of the country.
The physical geography of the current war mirrors old historical faultlines.
If RSF succeeds, it will reconfigure the geography of power in Sudan.

5 Core Consensuses for Ethiopia's Red Sea quest
1. #Ethiopia's quest for Red Sea access goes beyond economics. Landlocked status affects our inflation & diminishes our voices on the regional matters. We need a seat at the table, especially as global powers stake their claims in the Red Sea.
2. While distant powers stake claims in the Red Sea, Ethiopia's proximity and historical ties make our quest for access even more justified. Beyond geopolitics, it's about reconnecting with our heritage and ensuring regional balance in the Horn of Africa.
3. Exclusions from forums like the Red Sea forum aren't just diplomatic snubs—they're strategic setbacks. We must advocate for our rightful place in regional discussions. It's not about politics; it's our national interest at stake.
4. A peaceful & diplomatic approach to sea access is crucial. Our goal is mutual benefit & regional cooperation. Ethiopia's coastal presence can be a beacon of stability in the Horn of Africa, promoting shared growth & peacekeeping.
5. This mission transcends any single administration or leader. It's about our nation's legacy & future. We must always rally behind the vision of an Ethiopia that's prosperous, influential, and connected to the world through its rightful sea access.
