Archaeologist, developing 3D solutions applied to archaeological material and museums. PhD in Prehistory, specialized in Middle Palaeolithic in NW Europe
@prehisto_museum Finger crossed it's a first step toward an exciting challenge: to develop and propose 3D solutions suitable for archaeological material and museums, with reduced manipulations, high quality models and textures AND low cost so it's accessible even for small museums and projects
Interresting workshop on photogrammetry and SL scanners applied to #CulturalHeritage, #museum and #Archaeology discussing the cost/quality ratio and best options according to the needs of public, curators and researchers. Thanks to @InterregFWVL and pole de la pierre in Soignies
S. Prison brings together the loess and archaeological data from #Belgium. Many loess sequences, chronostratigraphical markers and Palaeolithic sites, but correlations between loess and cave deposits are tricky because of old excavations! #WLA2019
Graphics Officer Hugh Gatt discusses his approach to combining traditional illustration, 3D scanning, and RTI to create rich archaeological illustrations. https://t.co/lFmmVy4PEY
#loess section from the famous #Neanderthal site of Rocourt (eponymous site for the MIS 5 Rocourt Pedocomplex) recorded in 3D using #metashape. Little spoiler of Pirson and colleagues later today at #WLA2019

Bettencourt site shows a repeated #Neanderthal settlement throughout 40 k years with unchanged lithic technology in different climatic settings. Later periods (MIS 4 and 3) discontinuous occupations, due to colder climate #WLA2019
#photogrammetry of a refitting from #Scladina as we are on the process publishing online the lithic industries from the cave. 3 years of R&D allow to produce low-cost and accurate models using tailor-made processes on #agisoft#metashape

@MarieSoressi Noot yet Marie, but it's just a matter of finding time or people to do it as every single piece composing the refiting has been scanned individually as well. For now we have focus on increasing the processing speed while keeping high quality models
Thank you @ProvincedeLiege for hosting us. And what a great team you have, they covered everything and adressed even our very last minute requests. They made us feel at home in this great place
Check this @laboverie ... thanks for welcoming us and thanks to all your team working until late and greatly contributing to the success of this evening
Great final dinner at #ESHE2019 (and thanks to @SilviaBello14 for the pic). Big thanks also to the organisers and participants for a great conference. Already looking forward to Tubingen next year!
