@Zenpersuasion They all are important, but number 3 stands out. In one brief with a complex cast of characters I boxed all of the defined terms on the first page. I hoped the judge didn’t have to turn back to remember one, but if he did he knew exactly where to find the definition.

@Fallen_Punk @HashtagGriswold I took journalism classes in the 70s. We were taught to write to an 8th grade level. If that regression is mathematical and consistent we’re at grade level 0 by the 2050s.

I am not predicting that will happen. But considering journalism now, it might be a mercy.
