I say all that to say, some auspicious NBA history in that gym. Good signs for Wilson, ha!

UConn has used middle third pin-downs flowing into Tarris Reed Jr. post ups this season.

The middle third catch makes it extremely difficult for the defense to help, especially with shooters spaced in both corners.

Advantage is created before the ball even hits the post.

Physical downhill driver as the handler + shooter as the screener will cause mismatches and constant pressure on the defense.

Brewster Academy coach Jason Smith will be joining forces with another prep school legend, John Carroll, at the brand-new Masters Academy International, sources told @thefieldof68.

Smith, 52, who has more than 700 career wins, has won 7 New England Prep titles and 7 National Prep Championships, will be the head coach of the scholastic team. Smith, who arrived at Brewster in 2000, has coached 25 NBA players in his tenure, and more than 200 Division 1 players.

Carroll, 55, who has 6 New England Championships and 2 National Prep Titles while at Northfield Mount Hermon and the Newman School, was named the Director of Basketball in mid-February. Carroll won 370 games as head coach at NMH, and quickly built the Newman School into a power in the last four years.

The Masters Academy International will open in September of 2026 in Stow, Mass.
