Still in disbelief, TBH. But happy to share that my humble submission was chosen for presentation in the upcoming SC Symposium. Tasked to share my inputs on AI and its implementation in the judiciary. For those interested to join virtually, you may check the link to register.☺️
The works of the following exemplary individuals document some of the most pressing issues surrounding the exercise of freedom of expression in the Philippines. The Supreme Court's first Human Rights Symposium brings together their perspectives on contemporary issues to enrich discourse on fundamental freedoms. This event also aims to generate critical scholarships that can influence jurisprudence and shape policy.
The 15 winners were selected through a blind review of their works from over a hundred entries the Supreme Court received from all over the world.
Join us virtually by preregistering through this link: https://t.co/AaUDTLHHXI.

Roger Federer’s Commencement Address at Dartmouth yesterday might be the best speech he’s ever given.
Amazingly articulate, funny, full of wisdom. Made me laugh and tear up. I’m so very proud to have had him as my idol for the past two decades.
If you have 25 minutes to spare…
🏆🇫🇷🇪🇸 PHENOMENON:
Carlos Alcaraz wins Roland Garros 2024, his third major title! Beats Zverev 6-3 2-6 5-7 6-1 6-2!
Makes HISTORY by being the youngest male player ever to win at least one major on all three surfaces, at barely 21 years old, and only the 7th EVER to do so! 🤯
Rafa Nadal & Roger Federer were asked how they want to be remembered in a new campaign for Louis Vuitton
Rafa: “At the end what will make me feel proud and happy is when I leave this world, if the tournament directors, the people who work at the tournaments, staff, ATP, say good things about who I was on the tour, or who I am as a person more than a tennis player. Because as a tennis player, at the end, we have the titles, we have the achievements and that's how it is. I achieved more than what I ever dreamed of. So for me at the end, the legacy in terms of a human being, after achieving all the things that we achieved, for me is the most important thing.” ❤️
Roger: “I hope if I'm remembered not only as a tennis player, but as a person behind what I gave to the game and what I represented to the game, and it was less about all my Wimbledon victories or whatever it was, that would mean a lot to me. If I can be remembered more as the personality rather than just a player, that would be great. And if I was a good role model for kids, that would make me happy too… And it would be nice, like Rafa said, if the people are happy to see us again. Not like ‘oh no, that guy again,’” 😂
These two. 🥹
Impostor Syndrome was at an all time high today. 😂 But it was an honor and privilege to speak before the new lawyers, and share the podium with my dad.
@upchachan16 Oo cha 😅 gone are the days haha. Pero naa daw uban PPIs na OTC ra. Though di ko sure w/c brands and if sa gawas ra na applicable hehe. Murag pa balikon ta sa gastro nato ani 🙈
Tried to buy omeprazole at the usual pharmacy but was refused w/o an Rx. Inconvenienced, but not too bothered. After all, that’s how it should be.
Also, I’m more amused at the irony of the viral video of that lady. Seems like she really got the opposite of what she intended.😂
4 episodes in, and I can totally see why Shogun is highly rated on RT. Maybe it’s my personal fascination for Japanese culture and the appeal of period pieces talking, but it’s a show I definitely would recommend people watch.
Yesterday I tried making my own cold brew at home. Did this hoping to find a more practical and efficient way of stocking coffee on the go for the week. In a few mins ill find out if I achieved this, or if I just wasted 50g of good beans and induced upon myself an upset stomach😆
I believe we can expect more tech-driven solutions from the Judiciary. While it will certainly get a little pushback and hesitation from (older) lawyers, these innovations are certainly most welcome and actually exciting. At the very least, our courts are gearing for the future.
In line with the judiciary's thrust towards digitalization, the Office of the Executive Judge RTC Cebu City will soon begin the general implementation of its eNRS (Electronic Notarial Reporting System), only two months since it tested the waters of e-submissions via email.
This was certainly a bold and gutsy move by the Office of the EJ and the Notarial Division of the OCC. Taking the initiative to innovate this area of the practice. But with the way it's going so far, I think it won't be hard to imagine other courts following suit.
@atoyyni You'd be great in either, Rashid! But i'm leaning more on that it'd be better for you to handle freshmen. Under you, not only will they have a solid foundation in the subject matter, but more chance for them to be imparted with your values and principles. Lucky them! ☺️
