@bobpockrass@NASCARONFOX I think your lineup is set at Penske. I could see Dixon going to the 6, McClaren is crazy to think of letting Lungaard go, heโs their top driver on RC. OโWard is set. So, realistic open spots that are good are the 28, 60โฆ.. could get interesting.
@b_miklasz Because they donโt have the fixes available to them in the minors at this time. They had it on the offensive side. The pitching side is going to take a bit more time Iโm afraid.
@bschaeffer12 OโBrien gets the nod for getting out of it, but this is several outings now recently that heโs been less than ideal for us. But heโs not alone. Jojo, the SP, all have been bruised last few road games. Hopefully just a rough patch.
Jimmie Johnson had quite a bit to say about the lack of respect he experienced on track in the Truck Series yesterday. He expanded on that when @jeff_gluck asked about it today
"When I came in, it was the era of pointing people by. And I got my butt chewed by numerous Cup guys, even when I was in the Busch Series, that I raced them too hard. And I was like, 'Really? I'm here to race.' But as time went on, I realized that when I was going forward and had a chance to pass them, they could make life really tough on me. And if you were respectful to one another, you just worked together. That's completely out the window.
"I think stage racing and a lot of these other elements with the car performance and aero disadvantage, you can defend a lot more and it's kind of created this culture. But I wear two hats - In the ownership hat, I want the sport to be vibrant and healthy, and chaos brings eyeballs. So I'm kind of torn.
"But yesterday, I couldn't believe the disrespect that everybody had for each other. I mean, just gouging each other nonstop. And I was up at the front racing away and we're pointing each other by, I'm like 'Ah, this is old school Cup. This makes sense.' And then the way the fuel cycle worked out, I entered midpack and I looked around and I saw these trucks all twisted up. And I thought they had hit the wall - and I guess maybe some did, but it was all from the bashing into one another on the track. And then I got turned around twice with just last second lunges into areas that nobody should've been. It is what it is.
"And when I look at my Instagram or Twitter feed and you see local short tracks and behavior there, man, it's just wild."
@bschaeffer12 And Iโm guessing the Memphis rotation guys arenโt ready yet, Dobbins doesnโt solve the issue, so, whatโs available outside the organization thatโs actually helpful? And wonโt cost us a bunch of prospects?
@bschaeffer12 So, what are the options here? As I see it we have three pitchers who are doing really well, McGreevy, May, Pallante. Leahy is kind of in between, and Libratore has not been good overall his last 8 appearances.
What options do we have? Not many that are on the 40 man that I see.
@bschaeffer12 In his last 7 games, he is 1-2, 6.82 ERA, 30 1/3 IP, 42 H, 32 ER, 38 K, 11 BBโฆ.. the strikeouts are good, the walks good, but the ERA and hits are not.
@JoshCamillo@RedbirdRiot Not a bad idea honestly. Do that and get him out of his own head, out of the media firestorm, and let him reset in just about every sense of the word.
@jennykookachoo@RedbirdRiot Itโs a legit question. Why has he not been in the lineup? Is he hurt? The team isnโt saying anything, so, itโs a legit question. If heโs hurt, then we would know.
