I will fully support @VoteStumbo in the runoff for AG. David and his wife are staunch parental rights supporters who homeschooled their kids and support medical freedom - a wonderful future attorney general for our state.
VOTE STUMBO. 🇺🇸
Stumbo’s the best on the issue of keeping porn books away from kids in public libraries
Goldfinch looked at me like I had two heads when I started to talk about the issue with him. (Like most politicians do in SC outside of the Freedom Caucus)
Lindsey Graham will continue to get re-elected until a national public figure with near 100% name ID challenges him.
Boomers here will dutifully pull the lever for him over anyone they don’t intimately know - virtually every candidate that has run against him doesn’t can’t understand this.
You can waste your time traveling to as many little pointless republican social events as you want, have a big X account, throw out however much money you want, call him gay, allege hypocrisy, throw out insults, run attack ads that just remind people who already know that Graham exists, but until your name is more recognizable to on the ballot - they will go with the devil they know.
Most X pundits have no idea how S.C. politics works. Graham has the broadest name ID and reach of any figure in the state. He’s as known to as many voters here as Trump. The older electorate here identifies more with their party than they do any candidate and they can’t imagine a bad Republican.
In 15 years of politics and a lifetime in South Carolina I’ve talked to voters constantly who were: generally over 50, had no idea who was on the ballot, and would crawl over broken glass to vote in every election cycle.
They walk into the polls, say they’re Republican, look for names they know, hit submit, and feel a sense of pride they did their civic duty.
For them it’s as routine and essential as church every Sunday.
Mark Lynch may be a great guy, or he may be awful. Frankly, I have no clue because pretty much no one knew who he was. Several just knew him as the “cocaine guy” because of Graham mailers that probably did more to boost his name ID than his campaign.
That’s not a knock on him, it’s just reality.
Votes he got were maybe 10% passionate people voting for him and 90% Graham protest votes.
This is largely the same reason my dad lost to Mark Sanford in 2013 after Sanford left the country while governor to have an affair. In most states, this wouldn’t fly, but people in S.C. knew Sanford.
Part of this is due to the fact that the GOP nationally has pretty much written off the state because it’s reliably red. There’s no real voter education or outreach beyond what candidates can scrape together - and the national GOP wanted Graham anyway.
Sure, there’s other complicating factors but that’s the bulk of it.
Graham’s result is the least surprising of this election cycle.
If you live in South Carolina and get an election mailer from Palmetto Truth Project or Conservative Grassroots Network Election Fund, these are liberal groups masquerading as right-wing groups.
They want to knock out the only conservative members of the legislature left: The Freedom Caucus.
Every word is a lie. They voted the opposite. If you're a conservative, YOU should vote FOR whoever these groups are attacking. They know Freedom Caucus members don't have money to fight back because they aren't RINOs owned by liberal special interests.
Please vote for Thomas Beach, Josiah Magnuson and Rob Harris if you live in their legislative districts.
You’ll have to forgive me if I struggle to find my tiny violin for establishment politicians and online activists who are now (literally) crying on camera about how mean politics has become.
Many of these same people spent the last several years participating in it, benefiting from it, or enthusiastically cheering on the people doing it.
Apparently political attacks were perfectly acceptable when they were aimed at conservative moms, grassroots activists, and anyone who challenged the status quo.
Now we’re supposed to believe they’ve suddenly discovered civility.
What an incredible coincidence!
The outrage would be a lot more convincing if it weren’t so selective.
So data centers can build a power plant no problem, but us Americans have been told for years how we are ruining the earth by wanting cheap power sources like coal, etc. all while power plants across the nation have been shut down under the guise of climate change and green energy? You all are dumb if you are falling for this.
. @henrymcmaster appointed a whole slate of liberals to the SC State Library Board too— recommended by the ALA activist State Library Board Director
I applied as well but clearly stated I was against sexually explicit books shelved in children/teen sections — I didn’t get on 🤷🏼♀️
Praying we get a good governor like DeSantis in Florida because this is just CRAZY to be appointing Democrats when it’s a Republican Supermajority state
🚨 HOLY CRAP!! South Carolina Senate Leader Shane Massey (R) blocked 2026 redistricting because, HIS WORDS: "South Carolina is stronger" when "we have a vibrant and viable Democratic Party"
Trump won his district by 34 POINTS.
PRIMARY HIM OUT!
He actually said: “South Carolina is stronger when we have a vibrant Democratic Party.”
His excuse? "Competition makes you better."
WHAT?!
The "competition" where Democrats SHUT DOWN DHS? Defund the border? Allow the invasion of millions of foreign invaders who r*pe and pillage?
I am NOT interested in handing those traitors a win. Primary Shane Massey!
The fight is not over, redistricting can STILL pass.
The DOJ has ONE WEEK left to charge Anthony Fauci for the worst cover-up in modern medical history.
He lied to Congress about funding gain-of-function research in Wuhan. Millions died. Trillions were spent. And Fauci walked away with book deals and fawning media coverage instead of handcuffs. I re-upped my criminal referral to the DOJ because the evidence is overwhelming, and justice has been delayed long enough.
RT if you’re ready to see Fauci behind bars.
Gay surrogacy and gay adoption are predicated on the idea that gay men (or women) have a “right” to become parents. This idea is not only morally insane but also logically incoherent. It’s exactly like jumping off a building and claiming that you have the right to fly. Nobody has the right to defy the laws of nature. Where would such a right even originate? Two men cannot be parents. It’s impossible. Doesn’t matter how they feel or what they want. It cannot be. The only “right” at issue here is the right of the child. And the child has a right to be raised by a mother and a father, not two men masquerading as mother and father.
Someone, please explain to me...
How does this NOT result in another civil war in this country, exactly?
How is this NOT the foundation of a second Confederacy, by the EXACT same party who started the FIRST War Between the States??
Nah, these questions NEED to be asked and answered, RIGHT NOW.
A "National Popular Vote Interstate Compact" is a blatant subversion of the Constitution.
It is the final fantasy (yes, I DID use that intentionally) of a spoiled, affluent, urban WHITE professional-managerial class; a last-ditch effort to rule over the rest of the country by force, and nullifying the votes of conservatives within the states of the "Compact."
How does this shit happen on the watch of REPUBLICANS in these states within this bullshit "compact", unless they're making containment deals to keep the worst of the Communism Democrats will bring within the urban centers?
Why were these bills NEVER put to a referendum vote?
Many will not like reading this, but it's a fact.
Having served 4 years on the Education Committee in the Virginia House of Delegates, I can tell you that there is no school district in the Commonwealth, no matter how rural or conservative, that Democrats are not trying to mandate indoctrination that runs contrary to your principles.
Thats not hyperbolic, it's reality.
They don't call it indoctrination, because they don't see it that way. They see it as correcting the mistakes of your parenting, which in their view is not "progressive or tolerant" enough.
And since they don't have enough of their own kids to win elections, they need yours to "think correctly" about these things before they reach voting age. So in their view this is essential to "preserve our democracy."
Make sense now?
Now someone will read this and ask me "why didn't you fix it?" And the answer is simple...because we never had sufficient votes to get the legislation passed.
It wasn't for lack of submitting bills and fighting for them, not a single Democrat would vote for any of it and as long as they controlled just one part of the legislative process they could prevent all of it, because thats how the system works. In my entire 10 years in the General Assembly there wasn't a single year where they didn't at least control one part of the process.
But now nothing is preventing them...because they have the votes and they control the entire process.
Replace 75% of the lawyer-legislators in Columbia with successful small and mid-sized business owners, and watch how fast this state starts making sense again.

🚨 Where does closed primaries legislation stand right now in South Carolina?
The sponsors of the clean closed primary bill H.3310 are showing real flexibility and working in good faith to address legitimate objections from rural county Republican Party chairs. They amended the bill to allow voters to sign an affidavit and join the Republican Party at the polls for this upcoming primary — making it easier for older folks and rural voters who might not have gotten the registration message in time.
In contrast, the state party leadership’s bill sponsors have been heavy-handed and completely unwilling to budge on the key candidate qualification provisions — the very ones that would let party insiders in Columbia choose who appears on your ballot. That’s exactly why 30+ sponsors took their names off that bill.
The Dorchester County Republican Party stands united: We unanimously support H.3310 — the clean closed primary bill that keeps outsiders out of our Republican primaries without handing power to Columbia insiders to gatekeep your ballot.
The people — not party bosses — should decide our nominees. South Carolina Republicans deserve closed primaries the right way: protecting party integrity without new insider controls.
What you can do right now to help pass real reform with H.3310:
1. Thank our Dorchester County House Delegation co-sponsors:
Rep. Gil Gatch (House 94): (803) 212-6871 | [email protected]
Rep. Greg Ford (House 98): (803) 212-6925 | [email protected]
2. Ask your State House Rep to co-sponsor H.3310 if they haven't: Find yours here → https://t.co/JtDACutzKE
3. Urge the House Constitutional Laws Subcommittee to reconvene and advance H.3310:
Chairman Jay Jordan: (843) 229-1874 | [email protected]
Weston Newton: (803) 734-3120 | [email protected]
Cody Mitchell: (803) 427-6487 | [email protected]
