For me right now that means piano, teaching myself to draw, and making videos about other people’s hobbies — often from life in Japan.

@JDpushingtime @thefarmers_Dog Every time when teaching kids the English alphabet here, there are always a few who do the bit from these guys when we get to T. It's like it's hard-wired into their brains--but then again, they first did it on a kids' educational program here.

Need to find a way to have AI make a filter for me to block any video/image that's AI trying to be passed off as real.

WHY are they wired this way!?

Whenever my teenage kid finishes using a room--bedroom, bathroom, whatever--she leaves the light on.

But in the past 2 hours that I've been on the computer in my room, she's come in 3 times to get something, and turns off the light as she leaves.

@InnawoodsK @bunburyoudoujp @Death_Hunt3r That's what I was going to comment. Disingenuousness is most often one of the cruxes of knowing what someone says should not be taken into consideration.

What they say may hold truth, but if their goal in saying it is to take advantage of people, then why reward them for it?

@freyafoxtv Not sure about this particular chain, but I and some foreigner friends were given the same last order announcement at Torikizoku. They have a 2-hour limit on parties with a reservation. So it's not unheard of and could be something similar here.

@bunburyoudoujp Japan has fully succumbed to the commercialization of a Western holiday in full step. Halloween is barely out the door and stores are in Christmas mode.

Wait. So, the alternative to people stepping in and giving out of the generosity of their hearts is to--checks notes--cut out capitalism?

The real evil is tyrannical companies providing roles for people to earn a living? Rather than (a) leaving them to come up with their own means of creating income (more capitalism), or (b) having the government create those means?

So what happens when a government controls the jobs? Do you honestly think that simply because someone is in a position of power behind a government desk that they will definitively have more moral integrity than someone behind a corporate desk? That danger of tyranny does not go away. In fact, I would argue that the temptation for corruption with those in governmental positions is stronger/more persuasive than for those heading companies.

But the main difference is that *IF* you are working under a corrupt company, you can simply go find a better one, whereas if you are under a corrupt government, it's a hell of a lot harder to break the chains of tyranny.

Kudos to a company for actually standing by their employee in the face of delinquents that are a drain on society.

@michaelschwab13 Seems to be someone worthy of building a project for the not-too-distant future.

Look for a couple more seasons like this past one, and hope Flores can rev up the engine enough to make 2029-2032 really exciting.

来年と再来年よりそのあとためにフロエズを採用されたと思う。
