I am excited to announce my partners and I have launched a new product- JUCO Insider Report (@JUCOInsiderRep). With over 50 years of combined experience across scouting, coaching and front office, we aimed to build a top tier product that is budget friendly for every 4-year program.
If you are a GM, DPP, or anybody else tasked with identifying JUCO prospects, be sure to connect with JUCO Insider Report to request a demo.

I can’t help but wonder if we are witnessing the end of the mega camp era.
Every report I have gotten back from prospects this June seems to fall into two categories.
The first group was invited with real intent. The camp functioned more like a productive unofficial visit. There was personal interaction with the staff, clarity on where they stood, and a defined sense of next steps. That experience is more valuable than a t-shirt camp could ever be to both the players and the staff.
That also appears to be the minority.
Most other experiences have leaned closer to an unorganized cattle call. Too many players. Too little instruction. Limited visibility. Poor operations. Very few coaches of consequence actually involved in the evaluation.
The bigger concern is that the money grab has expanded. Some camps are no longer just charging for attendance. They are now upselling access to testing numbers, exposure tools, and add-ons that may or may not create any real recruiting value.
Development and exposure are not the same thing.
With time so limited in June, families need to be honest about what they are actually getting from each event. Was there instruction? Was there evaluation? Was there meaningful staff interaction? Was there clarity on next steps?
I trust the schools feel the shift too and will make adjustments that bring optimism back to June camp season.
I’ll hit driver once, the next 60 shots with a 7 iron and then 30 putt to finish off the round.
Do we sit off to the side and eat a sandwich while others play through to replicate “the turn.”
How do we get back to the clubhouse 4 miles away?
Revolutionary golf idea:
No more 18 holes. Why not just 1 really long hole. Make it like 7500 yards, par 72. The green is the last 1000 yards of the course.
Using AI is great, don’t get me wrong, but there is still a human element involved in creating, evaluating and building that requires hands on verification.
Use it for efficiency, not to replace processes.
Track It Verified is already used by over 120 college programs-providing NFL protocol combine testing and drill tape.

Just because they have other interests than you doesn’t mean you should minimize their interests. One of my boys is into anime and Pokemon and other board games. I have zero interest in those things but really try to listen when he wants to share about them. I took him to a local tournament where he could nerd out with others in that space and that seemed to unlock some more trust between us.
Nobody is proud of every aspect of their parenting journey. Just keep trying to give them your best even when it hurts or you are exhausted, etc.
Track It Verified (@trackitsports) is hosting a FREE opportunity for JUCO and Transfer Portal players to capture verified testing, measurements and filmed position drills.
