We're excited to announce that Ewan Sutherland has signed a pre-contract agreement with the club and will join Cowdenbeath following the expiry of his current deal.
The 26 year-old striker arrives from Dunipace after an impressive 2025/26 campaign, scoring 24 goals and playing a key role in the Pace's promotion to the Lowland League East.
Ewan has signed a two year deal at Central Park, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2027/28 season, and we look forward to welcoming him to the Club.
Upon signing, Ewan commented "Delighted to sign for the club. Being a local lad, I am fully aware of the potential the club has and want to help bring success in the coming seasons. I am coming off the back of a good season personally and hope to continue that into next year and beyond."
His new manager, Paul McLean, added "Delighted Ewan has agreed to join us. He's the type of player we've been missing and will complement our other strikers really well. He's got fantastic link up play and is a real handful for defenders. Having scored over 20 goals for Dunipace, he's also got an eye for goal, and I'm sure he will continue that with us next season."
Director of Football Operations Colin Nelson said: "Great news to announce an important signing for the club. Ewan is an old fashioned number nine who will complement the players we already have at the club. He adds physicality to the forward line and ticks a number of boxes. Signing him on a two year deal is good business for the club. Ewan has had a very successful season, scoring 24 goals and playing a major role for Dunipace. His desire to be here shone through from our initial conversations, and I'm sure the fans will get behind him and the boys at the start of the season."
