Proud to have co-led this important study w/ @LauraKMilton and to finally bring to fruition the pioneering vision of @ClaireFoldi in @molpsychiatry . It has been an honour to work with #psilocybin 🍄 in Australia @MonashBDI

2) Preprint from the final project led by @KynaConn during her postdoc on how dopamine drives improved reversal learning after psilocybin 🍄🟫

The amazing science continues with our second session for the day at #BPA2025! Congratulations to @KynaConn, @hkatemacpherson and Xavier Maddern on being awarded the highest ranked abstracts for this years meeting.
In our exciting new study led by @SezSaysScience and @ClaireFoldi, cachexia in a pancreatic cancer mouse model impaired reversal learning without elevating anxiety, suggesting sickness-induced reward devaluation can uniquely disrupt cognitive flexibility

Writing this was like any other act of love - awkward at the start, frustrating at times, but something to be proud of. Very grateful to @DrK_Griffiths for agreeing to take on this challenge with me @NatRevNeurosci

We created a python package for photometry post-hoc analysis using bootstrapping confidence Intervals
No more AUC or time bins analysis! Ever
Follow our simple step by step instructions.
Thanks....

are my behav neuro peeps still here? I posted the fabulous new work from the lab, led by PhD student @KaixinCHuang over on the other place last night and got crickets... check it out!!

My brilliant friend @Joeybenetatos from post-grad is joining the @MonashBDI seminar series today to present the cutting-edge techniques he uses to better understand psychedelic mechanisms of action. Please come along and support this very talented ECR!
Forgot to post in real time but THE @KynaConn crushed her poster presentation @ecnptweets in Milan this week. Figured out how to include a QR code and everything #genius#ECNP2024
I’m so excited to share my first paper on “Potential Differences in Psychedelic Actions Based on Biological Sex” 🍄🟫✨
I am deeply grateful to my incredible supervisor @ClaireFoldi for her support and guidance throughout this process 💙

We show that psilocybin improves body weight maintenance in activity-based anorexia, enhances cognitive flexibility in a reversal learning task, and causes transient changes in inhibitory output from the prefrontal cortex via 5-HT1A and 5-HT2A mechanisms
They say to “write what you know” but @feliciamreed1 & I broke with convention to write about what we don’t know @TrendsinPharma. We want to understand whether potential #psychedelic actions in the gut may be relevant for therapeutic outcomes 🤨🍄👇🏼 https://t.co/U9ClDSN4kR
Was a pleasure working with @KynaConn on this proposal in @IntJEatDisord to better understand and treat #compulsive exercise in #anorexia nervosa. Thanks to @KaixinCHuang & @sashadmo for their valuable input👇🏼 https://t.co/g9LpmM8SAs
Boom💥new preprint just dropped! #psychedelics activity-based #anorexia, reinforcement learning, behavioural pharmacology + cortical 5-HT1A & 5-HT2A transcription. Led by the inimitable @KynaConn & @LauraKMilton 💪🏼 @MonashBDI👇🏼 Check it out! 🍄🐁
Back to work Monday after a fantastic time at #BPA2023. Thanks for the opportunity to present amongst the highest ranked abstracts and to experience FNQ! Here is the #FoldiLab at the cutting edge of '(noo)tropics' chic 💅
Delighted to see this study published with the old PhD supervisory team @JKesby and @BurneTom indicating that altering D1:D2 receptor signalling ratios improves amphetamine-induced learning impairments in mice, with implications for schizophrenia
