Running the current VLC version on a iMac G3 (1998) and on a Pentium III on Windows XP (1999).
Live on our booth at @IBCShow, with JBK, you can see and test them. Yes, both machines still work & yes, the latest VLC still runs on them!

No, they are not ready for the e-waste pile....
Because software compatibility is also an environmental feature, and because people don't optimize the software

VLC remembers. It has always had a soft spot for old formats, old machines and technologies everybody else declared dead.

I've come around to SOME aspects of AI.
LLMs like @grok or copilot have been fun to mess around with lately for me.
Now on the other hand I do still dislike image creation ones that can steal from artists and whatnot. Those one's aren't cool.
