I am personally a person who ships Cloud and Tifa, but seeing both Tifa and Aerith have that romantic rivalry while also being friends and not antagonistic towards one another is such a win. Toxic love triangles are boring and a cop out to writing a realistic story.

Avalanche, Aerith's adoptive mom, Marlene and several other characters that aren't given much in the orginal feel like fleshed out characters in their own right instead of just plot devices for the party.

In the Remakes he still has the dorky qualities that pop up every now and a then but it's not exactly the same. 5/6
