Someone so critical of tariffs and price increases should do some digging on the impact of an immediate 100% increase in minimum wage. Increase everyone’s taxes significantly and they’ll charge more for everything, as well. Dramatic increases in expenses is not the answer for fucks sake
“Came all the way” to an app on her phone… where newsom’s post probably popped up top of a feed. This has really plagued her.
I’m guessing you don’t live here solely based on your affinity for eastern sports teams, but while he may have passed or stood for various things you’ve listed in your other responses, his policies of infrastructure management, homelessness, and overall budget management has proven to put the state in a much worse position than where it was when he was elected.
Yet should we have progressed from that point since Obama? (While looking past your pointed accusation)? Maybe. But if we progress from that point, the homeless crisis in California, the deficit, mental health, and success of its population should have progressed within California to garner the type of focus away from his failures that Gavin is attempting as California’s own “king” (see: random taxation on gas with no public calculation, misused tax dollars for homelessness - tea tax anyone?)
@eddyblockanna@Goldenmom1007@GavinNewsom Planned by the last president, who took more vacation days in a four year term than any president in the last five decades. Maybe fact check before you reveal your own lack of intelligence.
@FlindersJimmy@realsnoopbailey @rmartingolf @BarackObama The math isn’t entirely accurate, but you’re further off than he is. Makes sense why you guys never understood the issue of inflation, it is 14.7% annual growth, which means it compounds. It’s also 11 years.
The jobs weren’t lost. People were placed on temporary unemployment and nearly all were hired back once markets opened again (financial markets, physical markets, etc). All I am pointing out is the propensity for each side to claim a win when, rather than causing such result, the result was baked in. It’s like Trump claiming he single-handedly lowered inflation in a month. Both are invalid.
@GavinNewsom Imagine if this much time and effort were dedicated to solving the issues of the state rather than keeping sweat off your headshots for the next office you’re pursuing
A series of idioms and borderline Star Wars quotes as a counter to what truly happened, if we are pointing to stats. That’s one way to argue.
I said he claims he decreased unemployment, which he claims. But unemployment was elevated because of an economy that required people to leave their jobs for the pandemic. Which you’ve pointed out as an issue Biden had to overcome, rather than also statistically benefit from as a pseudo-“win”. When many economists state that the economy was already rebounding from the lows of Covid when he took office, thus removing the need for another $1000+ check, which led to runaway inflation that may have “decreased” over time, but had compounded to levels where everything is much more expensive now.
Please tell me how one in the hand is worth two in the bush or early to bed and early to rise will make me wise, and because of that, I need to second guess my existence.
@soulconnect4@LindaHamlett19 @RetroAgent12 The global part of the pandemic died in 2021/2022, it provided the unemployment that Biden’s stats piggyback on as a “gain” from 2020/2021, however
@charise_lee Definitely not the lack of a primary to choose a candidate. A candidate that avoided certain interviews that were unscripted. Jfc it’s always race.
