Heidi lives with SMA Type 1 and after a very strong suggestion from her doctor, Heidi's mother applied for a therapy pool to help her continue at-home physical therapy.

In June 2019, Laughing At My Nightmare provided a curved stair lift for two brothers living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This stair lift is unique in that it curves to fit the staircase in the boy's home.
