Intro to exponents in Alg2! Posed the question about a penny doubling every day for 30 days! A student asked me to clarify “amount” or “size.” I meant amount, but we found size as well!! 😳 #iteachmath #mtbos

Here's my centering question for defeating impostor syndrome: "Will what I'm doing help another person?" If the answer's yes, then I tell my impostor syndrome to shut up because even if there are people who are better than me or know more, helping someone else still matters.

@JHalstead604 @iteachmathAll I give all students a quiz. When they are finished they call me over and I shuffle all four quizzes behind my back. I ask one student to say “stop”! I staple them together and whichever quiz is on top is the only one I grade!
