Pete Buttigieg has become one of the most prolific midterm campaigners among possible presidential candidates, backing candidates in more than 30 races and traveling to over a dozen states.
Those endorsements give him a record to tout on a potential future debate stage, especially as the party looks for leaders who can break through in Republican territory. https://t.co/QuShgAZJZc
Yes! Sarah notices something that most pundits miss.
People like Pete, because he likes them.
His town halls are a good example. Most politicians hate doing town halls. But you can tell Pete loves it, because he genuinely enjoys the face-to-face conversations.
Politics doesnβt have to feel like something punching you in the face every time you check the news. We can come together around big, common-sense ideas that most Americans agree on.
Thatβs the kind of campaign @JamieAgerNC is building - and why I was proud to join him on the trail in western North Carolina.
Campos: While I want to thank CBS news for funding this generous gift towards my education, I want to acknowledge how the recent direction of the outlet stains the legacy of Mike Wallace, the namesake of this scholarship.
If at any time you hesitate to utter the word genocide or remain silent in the face of blatant lies, remember to ask yourself: who is this for?
β‘οΈ @PeteButtigieg on how to make Congress more responsive to voters:
βIf you could have multiple members per district, you would have a more proportional Congress. I think we should be looking at that kind of reform.β
I canβt imagine wanting to run for office given the nationβs (and even our partyβs) polarization, so very inspired by Americans like Pete Buttigieg who wake up every day thinking about how to make things better for everyone.
I hosted @cspanwj this morning and had a three-time Donald Trump voter who called in to share this:
"It's hard for me to say this, but I think, if i can open up about it in public that it might help others, I wanted to believe Trump was the real deal for a long time, even though I had doubts because I knew enough about his business history to think otherwise. But now I regret my support for him and I should've known better."
"He's the worst president we've ever had and he's the most corrupt president we've ever had. I know it's hard, it took me a while to be able to say that. Very difficult when you commit yourself to believing in somebody."

@PodSaveAmerica Cue #PeteButtigieg
He knows exactly what he believes. This was clearly evident in the 2020 primary, led with what he believed in during his tenure as Secretary of DOT, and continues to follow his moral compass every day.

I grew up in a region where they told us that if you wanted to make something of yourself, you had to get out. After I did, I began to understand what it means to be from somewhere.
A lot of people in rural, lower-income, and industrial communities hear that same message. But it doesn't have to be that way.
Thanks for the warm welcome, Tulsa.
