The Hogwarts Legacy discourse is a disgrace. Even when a voice aligns with their cause, a target is painted on your back for playing the game and you get steamrolled.

Have there been any interesting ruby/rails books recently? I just don’t see them often anymore. Not as prevalent? Are programming books less popular in general nowadays? Really just curious what people have liked recently.

I worked on this at Twitter in 2015. IIRC we tested it and most people didn't get any views and we had to have some thresholds before showing it as "0 views" was depressing

We also wanted to be accurate and not count if someone quickly scrolls past your tweet in their TL

It’s weird being laid off from my engineering job last week. This is the first time in my career I haven’t had a job or a MacBook.
