She saw me and bought me for a mere £2,50. Me, who had lived in the most beautiful palazzos. But I was old and dusty and anything was better than a dark little shop. Maybe this woman could find out who I am. I’m not just a silly painting, you know.

I press tightly the tickets in my hand as I walk down the plane with a smile on my face.

…the night I arrived to the house. All the lights were off and no one was waiting to greet me. I went to knock but found the front door ajar. I stood still, in confusion, not knowing what to do.

Everybody celebrated but whispered and plotted behind closed doors.
Years later they burned my family and kingdom for that same reason.
Now I’m ready to seek revenge.
@cbcreative@amitaparikh#WriteCBC Beth tries to hide her trembling hands under her coat.
John keeps his eyes on the road, knuckles red on the wheel.
Silence.
Gathering all his strength, he holds her hand.
Her body shakes uncontrollably and silent tears run down her face, chin and finally onto her lap.

Alice shivered and touched her newly cut short hair. The back of her neck was now exposed to the cold wind and she liked the feeling of that.
Concentrate, she thought. I’m here on a job.
A clock stroke midnight. Then, silence and after that, the lamp post became alive.
@cbcreative@lmrlmrlmr ‘Treat with Respect,Everyone Everywhere. TREE! That’s it!’

As the red envelope touched the floor it began to shine, the sisters wondered if it might be a sign. The ribbon around it unraveled and formed a path in the snow.
Golden letters appeared in the sky, “To the North Pole”, below it a small door. The girls run.

‘You’ll pay for it!’ Pip quickly grabbed him by the leg.
‘Wait! I read it! It said “Follow The Star.”’
The sisters smiled in victory but then, a strong northern wind blew startling the three of them.
‘Oops, you’re in trouble.’ And he disappeared into thin air.

‘Hurry up!’ Lizbeth said. With a “click”the mail box opened.
‘At last.’ Alina whispered holding a shiny golden envelope. ‘All our questions will finally be answered.’
Then, a noise came from behind. The sisters turned around and gasped in disbelief.
‘Mother!?’

‘I’ll be here whatever happens.’ he said. The man and the woman held hands and walked to the nearest café.
He ordered two coffees while she looked for something inside her bag.
‘I haven’t opened it yet.’ she said sliding an envelope in the middle of the table
