@PHLY_Flyers I mean there’s a reason the expression “when you assume, you make an assumption out of you and me,” exists. As a parent, you treat all your kids the same by giving each one what they need. MM39 and the Flyers both learned he needs more structure than maybe others. Good on them.

@jasonmyrt One thing I have learned from watching my son is that goaltending fosters a resilience like nothing else in sports. It has definitely helped him with his health challenges and will help you in your fight. Just keep swimming and eff cancer.

@charlieo_conn He made a mistake a lot of 20 year olds with new found wealth would make & while the proof is in the putting, he seems to have learned from his mistake. It certainly doesn’t hurt training with the caliber players with whom he is training.

@jasonmyrt While I don’t put much stock in the outcome this game, the the big thing is he looks like he is having fun playing hockey again. I think he lost that last year and realized that good prep=more fun.

@charlieo_conn I hoped that they would solve for 1 of the 1C or 1D, didn’t happen. What seems to be happening though is more structure and guidance for MM39’s offseason. A big MM39 bounce back may be the biggest add of the summer. If that happens, I’d look at this summer more favorably.

@billmeltzer I do think Cutter will be key. Asking him to take a friendly deal just isn’t taking money off the table he’ll never get back, it takes the opportunity to earn more from investing off the gap in pay off the table. He’s in the business of being Cutter and that isn’t good business.

@Anth_Chatburn How do they sell Cutter on taking less money on a bridge deal? The money he earns potentially grows significantly via investment every year, which should compound, meaning there’s no way he will ever make up the gap between ask & a team friendly deal. That’s a big ask of Cutter.

@Ywolok I agree…which would explain why it has been so quiet. I’m guessing some combination of Tippett/Cates/York/Nesbitt/Bonk with an outside chance of Michkov (obviously not all of these guys but likely two of them) with maybe 1 of the picks coming back.

@BeeTEE15 The bigger risk is a player doesn’t negotiate with him at all because he is a pain the neck to deal with and says trade me now or we’re going to sign an offer sheet and you can take it or leave it.
