We are excited to announce that the Land Trust has added a new parcel to our list of protected lands. The new property at the end of Horseshoe Canyon and is among our largest so far, at over 54,660 square feet, or 1.25 acres! https://t.co/80Hlzsst3x
@cd4losangeles Did someone say tree law? Our laws are sorely out of date and UFD doesn’t have the resources to effectively prosecute violators - both for street trees and native protected trees. We can and should fix this. Will you sponsor a motion to amend these laws?
@lacontroller Hi Kenneth - You are completely right! The City’s tree regulations are sorely out of date and UFD doesn’t have the necessary resources to prosecute people for violating the laws. We can and should fix this. We are working with CD4 to update these laws. Will you support?
Happy to celebrate the purchase of a 10 acre parcel to add to Griffith Park! LCA President Jamie Hall worked with LA Parks Foundation and helped secure a large portion of the funding. We’ve learned a lot from the open space work in Laurel Canyon and like to share that knowledge.
