A generation of young, previously healthy people are deteriorating with severe acquired brain dysfunction. Labeling this as “brain fog” erases severity, obscures biology, and delays recognition of true neurologic injury.
This warrants attention and reposting for awareness 🧵
People don't understand that there are several real models of cumulative harm that apply to covid infections.
People don't like complex ideas, so they avoid them.
This is going to be a long thread, with several simple ideas that combine to make a big complex one.
"My body wasn't responding. I was scared, I cried, I thought to quit sport"
Italy's speed skater Francesca Lollobrigida, who won gold today at the Winter Olympics, suffered for months for the effects of a viral infection

There is growing evidence of the role of SARS-CoV-2 infection in oncogenesis. Yet, this dangerous SARS virus has been left to rip through the global population
What is nosocomial COVID? 🧵
“Nosocomial” derives from Greek roots meaning disease (nosos) and to care for (komein), via the Latin nosocomium(hospital).
Nosocomial COVID refers to patients who caught COVID-19 in hospital, not in the community.
When patients acquire COVID-19 in hospital, this is a patient safety issue.
Like other hospital-acquired harms, it requires:
• investigation
• understanding how exposure occurred
• learning lessons
• accountability where failures are identified
@thereal_truther@PeteUK7@dummybrainy You're a shit truther.
Stop spreading disinformation.
I've had five hospital stays thanks to long COVID.
There are no mitigations in the UK.
@DavidJoffe64 It’s not the first time that we’ve been here…
There have been many other health crises through history (smoking, HIV, asbestos, thalidomide) where harms were downplayed for YEARS before reality set in.
Question is: how long will it take before people wake up this time? 🕰️
When you put all of this together and start joining the dots, it’s little wonder that there has been such a sharp rise in disability & long term chronic illness.
Look at these two charts below ⬇️
Two countries.
Two charts.
A very similar (and concerning) trend.
@Telegraph **NOBODY** has "moved on from" the still ongoing pandemic.
Denial of empirical reality is not "moving on"; it's a **pathological** coping strategy that's prolonging the pandemic and worsening the net death and disability.
WTF is wrong with you?
SAD NEWS 😢
My friend's sister is in hospital for a kidney transplant
Her husband is the donor
There is no mask mandate at the hospital
He acquired pneumonia & is in serious condition
10% chance he will lose his life saving his wife
BECAUSE HOSPITALS WON'T MASK THE F*CK UP
@matthabusby@Telegraph something you could do Matt. Who authorised the spend on hepa filters for politicians, public health agencies, govt depts and parliament back in 2020? Did this come direct from Dido Harding budget or another from @hmtreasury ?
The PCR positivity map is out and even where there are hotspots it's (mostly) good news this week.
I'll cover covid first, then flu.

Autopsies of 18 foetuses showed that "SARS-CoV-2 can be widely distributed in fetal organs through vertical transmission". In addition immune and DNA damage were found in the infected organs
