@parkermaddock I have voted republican for 46 years this year
That America First sign I had custom made
The Trump sign has been attacked multiple times
Still Standing 💯
Mike Cox not only betrayed his supporters by dropping out at the last minute, but then he kicked them in the nuts and endorsed the establishment GOP RINO candidate that he had just spent weeks trashing! Just say no to career politicians. Perry for the win!
TRENDING: People are saying that ABC, CBS, and NBC should lose their broadcast licenses for refusing to air President Trump's national address on election security.
They are calling on the @FCC to yank their licenses.
Joint Statement from Vance Patrick & Terri Nallamothu
Throughout this gubernatorial primary, we hoped to remain neutral. We believe Republican voters deserve the opportunity to choose their nominee without interference from party leadership.
But circumstances have changed.
With Mike Cox’s decision to withdraw from the race, we believe we have a responsibility to speak honestly about what is at stake.
Nothing is more important than ensuring Republicans win in November.
We have spent years working alongside thousands of volunteers to rebuild Republican momentum in Oakland County. We know firsthand how difficult it is to earn back the trust of voters, persuade independents, and compete in one of the toughest political environments in Michigan. The next nominee must be capable of expanding our coalition, inspiring the grassroots, and making a compelling case to voters who will decide this election.
After careful consideration, we believe that candidate is Perry Johnson.
This is not a decision we make lightly. John James’ district includes much of Oakland County. Yet over the past several years, we have watched him repeatedly treat Oakland County Republicans, our volunteers, and our grassroots activists with disrespect and disdain. Rather than working in good faith, he has too often chosen division over partnership and political calculation over party unity. He has also abandoned his constituents by immediately shifting his focus to another campaign for higher office instead of serving the people who elected him.
That pattern has been deeply disappointing. Winning statewide requires building coalitions, respecting the grassroots, and strengthening the Republican team from the ground up. Our experience has been the opposite, and we cannot ignore it as we consider who gives our party the best opportunity to win in November.
The Republican Party cannot afford another statewide loss. Michigan cannot afford another four years of Democratic control. We have to nominate the candidate who gives us the strongest opportunity to win.
John James has already been the Republican nominee in two statewide elections. Despite unprecedented financial support and well over $200 million invested in those campaigns, Michigan voters rejected his candidacy both times. Elections are about persuading voters, and we cannot ignore that history as we choose our nominee for governor.
At the same time, serious questions have been raised throughout this campaign regarding James’s relationships with special interests and foreign governments. Republicans deserve a nominee who can make the case against the Lansing establishment without having to answer questions about whether he is beholden to interests that do not share the priorities of Michigan families.
Perry Johnson offers a different path.
As a businessman and political outsider, Perry has built his campaign around ideas that resonate with both Republicans and independent voters: holding government accountable through a MEGA Audit, returning money to taxpayers by eliminating the state income tax, reforming property taxes, and putting Michigan families ahead of politically connected insiders.
Perry also offers something uniquely important for every Republican on the ballot. As a successful businessman who has demonstrated both the willingness and the ability to finance his own campaign, Perry can compete at the top of the ticket without depending on the same limited pool of party resources and donor dollars that every statewide campaign must normally fight over. That creates an opportunity for more financial support, volunteer energy, and organizational resources to be directed toward the candidates who will determine control of the Legislature, local government, and our courts.
As leaders of the largest Republican county organization in Michigan, we cannot overstate how important that is. Oakland County alone has more than 400 elected positions on the ballot. Every dollar and every volunteer hour that can be invested in our legislative, countywide, judicial, municipal, township, school board, and local candidates instead of simply trying to keep the top of the ticket competitive strengthens Republicans across the board.
Perry Johnson doesn’t just have the opportunity to win the governor’s race. He has the opportunity to lift every Republican running alongside him. By continuing to aggressively fund his own campaign while allowing more resources to flow to down-ballot races, Perry can help build the kind of coordinated statewide effort our party needs. As county party leaders, that matters enormously. Our responsibility is not simply to elect a governor. It is to elect Republicans at every level of government, and we believe Perry Johnson gives us the best opportunity to do exactly that.
Just as importantly, Perry has consistently demonstrated that he is willing to engage voters directly, answer difficult questions, and make the case for conservative reform across every corner of our state.
Over the course of this campaign, conservatives from every wing of the Republican Party have begun rallying behind Perry Johnson. Former gubernatorial candidates Kevin Rinke, Pastor Ralph Rebandt, and Ryan Kelley are among the growing number of respected conservative leaders who have put aside past differences because they understand what is at stake. They recognize that this election is bigger than any one person, and that unity is our path to victory.
The stakes are simply too high to remain silent.
If Republicans are going to defeat Jocelyn Benson, protect our legislative majorities, elect Republicans up and down the ballot, and restore common-sense leadership to Lansing, we must nominate the candidate who can unite conservatives, earn the confidence of independents, and strengthen our entire ticket from the top down.
Today, we are proud to add our names to that growing coalition. We are joining conservatives, grassroots leaders, former candidates, and Republicans from every corner of Michigan who are coming together behind Perry Johnson because they believe he gives our party the best opportunity to win in November.
We believe that candidate is Perry Johnson.
For those reasons, we are proud to support Perry Johnson for Governor and encourage Republicans across Michigan to join us in uniting behind his campaign.

You asked for it!
✅Perry is the most qualified candidate to fix the problems in Michigan. He has decades of experience running large organizations. The State has 50k employees & $80 billion dollar budget. James has no experience doing anything close, other than 2 years on the 'No Work' job his Daddy gave him.
✅Funding his own campaign. That means he doesn't owe anyone any favors. Politicians take donations then have to pay back those donors. Not Perry.
✅Perry has the calm, cool, collected temperament to be leader. Did you see how angry, emotional & entitled James was in the debates? Playing the race card? He lacks the maturity and leadership skills that Perry has.
✅Perry has 40 years experience fixing broken organizations. Its all he has ever done, its his area of expertise. And he is good at it. JJ has no applicable area of expertise. We don't need a helicopter pilot.
✅The plans Perry has laid out will lead to a rebirth of Michigan's economy and thus our individual wealth. He understands the business and economic issues that have been holding Michigan back. Look at Tennessee & Texas. They get all the auto manufacturing jobs. Why? No income tax and they are Right to Work States.
✅In short, Perry has the qualifications, the experience, the ideas, and isn't beholden to special interests or donors. He is free to do what is right for Michigan, not what donors want him to do. He's the right man at the right time. And the time is now. Vote Perry Johnson for the win August 4th!

For the past 20 months, as I campaigned across Michigan, people routinely asked me, “aren’t today’s politics so hard and dirty?” I would usually answer, “it was so much harder making payroll on the 15th and 30th of every month”. They would usually smile.
And, if there was more time, I would tell them the other side of the story: about all the great people I met, people who lifted my spirits with kind words or encouragement, people who came to events solely because they wanted to do something to make Michigan more prosperous, safer, help our kids to learn, and to lift Michigan out of its doldrums.
It was all those people who helped me get out of bed each day to take on the world. I am eternally grateful to all of them.
On June 22nd President @realDonaldTrump endorsed @JohnJamesMI and lifted him out of a statistical tie with me. And while I did not fully appreciate it then, that endorsement placed him out of reach in a three-way Republican primary race. Several internal polls since June 22nd taught me that that lesson. That is the power of President Trump, and it is a testament to the enduring loyalty of Republican primary voters in Michigan to the President.
Today I leave the race for Governor with great sadness because I never found a better experience than serving the people of Michigan as I did for 21 years as a prosecutor and Attorney General (and before that, as a Marine). While I achieved much greater material rewards outside of public service, those material rewards can never equal the joy and sense of purpose I felt serving the working men and women of Michigan in public office.
As President Trump has endorsed John James and ordained his primary victory, I will do whatever I can to help John James, @tonyforlini1, and @DougLloyd4ag win in November. We need them and the whole Republican team to win and roll back the last 8 years of despair, distress, and decline and return Michigan to greatness. The stakes are simply too high.
Thank you to every volunteer, supporter, donor, friend, and family member who stood with me during this campaign. Most of all, thank you to Laura Cox whose love and support never wavered.
I leave this race with gratitude, optimism, and faith in Michigan’s future because I have met so many women and men of purpose on the campaign who are working to get it done.
