Modern Art – A Multifaceted Systemic Lie.

The banana taped to the wall sold for $6.2 million. The banana was eaten by a performance artist at the auction preview. A replacement was taped in its place. The certificate of authenticity transferred with the sale. This is not an outlier. This is the system working as designed.

1. The gaslighting is the core mechanism. The work is meaningless – the meaning is supplied by the network around it. The curator’s statement. The critic’s review. The collector’s price. The meaning is not in the object. It is in the social performance of understanding it. Anyone who says they don’t understand it is not admitting ignorance – they are refusing to perform the required deference. "You just don’t get it." Not an argument. A social threat. The emperor’s new clothes as a permanent institutional condition.

2. The debasement of standards was not accidental. Beauty and craft are standards by which work can be judged objectively – and objective judgment threatens the network. So the standards had to go. First irony. Then abstraction. Then conceptual art. Then the work that is entirely the statement about the work, until the object is irrelevant and only the network’s validation matters. The Herostratus instinct institutionalized – not burning the temple but declaring it was never beautiful, and that your inability to see this is your problem.

3. The entre-soi is the closed circle. Galleries validate artists. Critics validate galleries. Collectors validate critics. Museums validate collectors. Foundations fund museums. The same hundred people, circulating the same money, presenting the result as the judgment of culture. The public that finds the work empty is not a signal the work is empty. It is evidence of insufficient sophistication.

4. The financial architecture completes the system. Art is the only asset class with no objective valuation mechanism – perfect for moving money. A painting worth whatever two people agree, stored in a freeport, donated to a foundation for a tax deduction on the inflated value. The banana is simultaneously a cultural statement, a social performance, and a financial instrument. The fact that it is completely empty is not a bug. It is a feature.

5. The network selects against genuine talent – because genuine talent produces work that can be judged independently. The painter who spent ten years learning to draw can be evaluated without the curator’s statement. Their excellence is visible – which makes it dangerous. The network promotes instead the imposture that cannot be evaluated without its permission.

6. The demoralization is the deepest damage. Modern art tells a civilization that beauty is a preference, that the craftsman who spent a decade learning is no better than the one who didn’t bother, that excellence is indistinguishable from its absence. Making the tradition incomprehensible until it becomes invisible. The Sistine Chapel becomes one option among many. The banana becomes another. A civilization that cannot distinguish between them has lost the capacity to defend either.

7. We need to restore the standards. Beauty is not a preference – it is a civilizational claim about what the world is for. Exceptional skill is the measure by which creative work has always been judged across every culture that produced anything worth keeping. What is worth celebrating and what is an imposture used for the politics of destruction are distinguishable – by anyone willing to look and say what they see. The banana is not art. The Sistine Chapel is. The difference is not subjective. The difference is everything. Restoring the capacity to say so — clearly, publicly, without apology — is the first act of civilizational recovery.

Standing in line at CVS today to pick up a prescription for Yolanda. They were still 10 minutes from reopening after lunch (yes, really), and about 60 people were waiting.

An older gentleman—a Navy veteran—and I started talking about Fauci’s refusal to testify. Before long, it felt like the entire line was listening. I was about to take a poll when we realized something surprising: roughly 90% of the people around us had no idea what we were talking about.

Most had never even heard of the Fauci diary.

Whether you see that as concerning or not, it says something about how fragmented the public information landscape has become.

And yes, folks, this is today’s America, and why Bolsheviks, jihadists, and Marxists are winning elections.

Americans have had it too good for too long, and their complacency is about to cost them it all.

When I was a lawyer at Gibson Dunn in D.C., we took our summer associates to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. A survivor spoke to us and said something that stuck with me:

Lawyers need to know the holocaust did not begin with camps. It began when Jews were removed from institutions - above all, legal institutions. Judges stripped of their robes. Lawyers disbarred. Then, when law-groups were Judenrein, they codified laws that made discrimination systematic and "legal."

First, you remove the Jews from the institutions. Then, Jews can be discriminated against without representation.

On Monday, Mayor Mamdani announced his 18-member Advisory Committee on the Judiciary. The Committee was promised to be "truly reflective of New York City."

Not one of the 18 is Jewish.

Not one Jewish attorney, former judge, or law professor - in a city where one in eight residents is Jewish and even Justice John Leventhal, recommended by the State's Chief Judge, was rejected.

It is estimated that over 50% of the New York bar is Jewish. That means there is a 0.0004% chance of no Jews being selected to the Committee.

Mamdani’s marginalization of Jews has been ongoing, and few voices on the Left have spoken up.

On Day 1, Mamdani revoked the IHRA antisemitism definition (top priority); he changed the NYPD guidance protecting houses of worship, eliminated Jews from the City's immigrant-heritage map, called for the arrest of the prime minister of the only Jewish state, and now created a Judenrein Judiciary Committee.

My grandmother, Leah, survived Nazi Germany. Before the laws, before the violence, she told me how she was pushed out of her high school groups. Then, once excluded from all activities, she was bullied and marginalized.

We are already seeing Step 2 in NYC. Two weeks ago, on a Jewish Holiday, two men were stabbed outside Upper West Side synagogues - one wearing a kippah- and yesterday, Jewish students were attacked. Every 26 hours, there is a hate crime against Jews in NYC.

In NYC, there is a concerted effort to disappear Jews from public life and leadership.

No one on the Left is speaking out. If this discrimination was happening to any other group, the chorus would be deafening.

To be clear, Jews will find a way. Many are already taking their talents elsewhere. When white-shoe firms shut Jewish lawyers out, they built firms that now dominate. Cardozo, Louis Marshall, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg all found a way despite discrimination.

But NYC will be worse off without us. A city government that is judenrein - cleansed of Jews – does not just hurt the Jews, but hurts the city.

The tragedy is not just that Jews were left out of the institutions. It is that the institutions were left without the Jews.

Let's take a walk through the "American justice system," shall we?

Sharmake Omar is the Somali man who filmed Shiloh Hendrix on the playground in Minnesota that day in April 2025.

In January 2022, he and another Somali man "allegedly" spent two days raping an underage foster care runaway in a trailer, keeping her falsely imprisoned.

In March 2025, all charges were dismissed "in the interest of justice."

Weeks later, in April 2025, he turned his camera phone on at the playground after a young Somali thief attempted to steal from a White mom, Shiloh Hendrix, and began haranguing that White mom for having said the word "nigger." Omar demanded that Hendrix repeat the word on camera, which she did - four times, while Omar himself said the word five times in the less-than-one-minute video.

Four long months later, multiple "disorderly conduct" charges were maliciously brought against Shiloh Hendrix for the playground incident in which she was the only victim, and Sharmake Omar was the videographer.

Then, last night, Shiloh Hendrix was CONVICTED - specifically for saying "nigger" to Sharmake Omar AFTER he demanded she say it, while he himself said it repeatedly. Her sentence is a $1,000 fine and 200 hours of community service.

By the way, Sharmake Omar WAS NEVER CALLED TO TESTIFY in the Hendrix trial.

But don't worry, that's not all the justice we have in store for today. Just keep the substance of Shiloh's "crime" - as well as her sentence - in mind as we move forward.

Rewind to April 2020. That's when Sharmake Omar, our favorite Somali videographer, along with another Somali friend of his (separate from his alleged co-raper), committed a violent assault in the street. Omar threw a rock at a car, then attacked and beat the 16-year-old driver. A bystander tried to intervene, but Omar's accomplice threatened him with a knife.

For this, Sharmake Omar was charged merely with DISORDERLY CONDUCT. Yes, for hurling a deadly weapon at a vehicle, then beating the teenage driver while his criminal pal held off onlookers at knifepoint, Omar faced the EXACT SAME CHARGE that Shiloh Hendrix faced for saying a word that Omar asked her to say, as she held her child in her arms and fled the playground before Omar could assault her, too.

Like Shiloh Hendrix, Sharmake Omar was convicted on his count of disorderly conduct.

His sentence?

A $200 fine.

That's it. That's the entire thing.

So, to review:

Rape an underage foster child for two days (allegedly)? Clean slate.

Hurl a deadly weapon at a car and assault its driver? $200.

Say a word to an accused rapist/kidnapper and convicted violent criminal who demands you say it while saying it himself? $1,000 and 200 hours - not to mention international infamy.

Could the anti-White standard be any more egregiously in our faces?

Seriously, everyone involved in prosecuting the Shiloh Hendrix case is unspeakably evil. This includes, but is not limited to:

~ Lead prosecutor Nicholas Shabel
~ Judge Christa Daily, who ensured Shiloh's conviction
~ The Rochester NAACP
~ Rochester's "Community Engagement Response Team"
~ Rochester Mayor Kim Norton
~ Rochester City Council President Randy Schubring
~ Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison
~ Minnesota's Council on American-Islamic Relations
~ Sharmake Omar, without whom none of this would have happened
~ The young Somali thief's non-English speaking parents
~ Innumerable members of the local Somali scam network
~ Six jurors - two men and four women (reportedly all White) - who unanimously agreed that White people are not protected under the US Constitution

While we're here, a special dishonorable mention must go to every single "FIRST AMENDMENT" organization in this hollowed-out country of ours. You know the ones - they relentlessly solicit and collect large sums of money to "DEFEND FREE SPEECH" while continuously, cravenly shrinking away from EVERY meaningful case where White people - LITERALLY THE ONLY GROUP WITH MAJORITY SUPPORT FOR THE FIRST AMENDMENT - are so clearly maliciously persecuted.

Similarly, NOT ONE official at any level of government has spoken up to defend Shiloh Hendrix or her Constitutional rights, nor to condemn the flagrantly anti-White, utterly unconstitutional witch hunt she's endured. Not one.

And on that note, we conclude today's review of the good ol' "American justice system."

Lady Justice isn't blind. She's anti-White. And it's never been plainer to see.

It is incredible how far the Democratic Party has moved politically. Just listen to @BarackObama on immigration 20 years ago. @HillaryClinton spoke similarly back then.

The question of course is why. The answer I believe is not a change in fundamental views, but rather a tactical one. At some point, the Democratic Party believed it had a higher likelihood of staying in power if our country had open borders.

Obviously people can forget things. But the “repressed memory” scam claims that the mind completely buries certain traumatic events and only a trained psychiatric professional can magically uncover these buried memories that your own conscious mind is unaware of. There is simply no evidence for this claim. It’s been debunked many times over. This was litigated very publicly and openly back in the 80s and 90s. And there are many cases, including some very famous ones, of psychiatrists helping their clients to invent false memories. That’s what generally ends up happening when you go to a therapist searching for your “repressed memories.” Again this is all documented.
