Executive Committee – Reaffirmed for 2027
The same Executive Committee that has overseen the current CAO’s performance evaluation and negotiated release was reaffirmed at the annual Organizational Meeting on Tuesday.
The Mayor reappointed three Councillors-at-Large: Andrew Yule, DJ Kelly, and John Pantazopoulos. Councillor Kelly continues as Vice-Chair.
The executive subcommittee handling recruitment of the next CAO was also drawn from this group in the spring. A motion earlier this year to open that process to all members of Council did not pass.
Current membership:
Mayor Jeromy Farkas – Chair
Councillor Raj Dhaliwal – Community Development Committee Chair
Councillor Andre Chabot – Infrastructure and Planning Committee Chair
Councillor Jennifer Wyness – Audit Committee Chair
Councillor DJ Kelly – Councillor-at-Large / Vice-Chair
Councillor John Pantazopoulos – Councillor-at-Large
Councillor Andrew Yule – Councillor-at-Large
The committee reviews and recommends to Council on finance, budgeting, corporate planning, economic development, and CAO matters. Final decisions rest with full Council.

Is this someone that Kelowna wants to represent them?
I’m not sure how many times I need to say this, but citizens are not to blame for asking questions and challenging the status quo.
People are entitled to challenge the status quo, question government decisions and expect answers from those in power. That is part of living in a free and open democracy.
If our public institutions are failing the public, directing anger at the people pointing it out does nothing to fix the problem. Neither does labelling, shaming or lecturing them into silence.
Public trust has to be earned through actions. Start by listening, acknowledging what has gone wrong and taking responsibility.
Citizens asking questions are doing their part. Those entrusted with power need to do theirs.
🇨🇦Moral Treason🇨🇦
Really?
I just heard the term "moral treason" directed towards Alberta separatists who apparently are trying to break up Canada.
But "moral treason" might be Justin Trudeau saying this country is a post-national state with no core identity.
He's the man who called us Nazis. He's the man who wondered if we should be tolerated. He's the one who divided this nation on every imaginable line.
He's the man who invited UNELECTED foreign entities in to influence cabinet members, as Klaus Schwab himself said.
He's the man who doubled the national debt. He's the man behind homeless encampments and drug addiction in every town and city across this country, coast to coast, and he is the man who killed our resource sectors, making us unable to compete.
He is the one who stole the future from our nation's youth.
It was the Trudeau government that let hostile foreign enemies into our nation, and now the separatists get called traitors for wanting to escape it?
That's not treason on the separatists' part.
That's a diagnosis.
So if this country is a post-national state according to our illustrious former prime minister, then what is it we are treasonous against?
We were simply moving on from the nation formerly known as Canada.
And as a final thought, we need to look at the state of Canada and who voted for what...
Separatists voted for none of this.
So there's that. 🤨
#AlbertaFirst 🤠
So Health Canada knew that the Pfizer vaccines had turbo cancer SV40, when they weren’t supposed to, and never informed the public?
Wonder why I see people on Facebook posting about deaths from age 14-60 daily due to “turbo cancer”.
This is the Canada you want to live in?
Health Canada is a bioweapon terrorist organization.
In other words, @MarkJCarney plans to respect Quebec’s wishes to control immigration
Alberta however can pound sand
None of Premier Alberta @ABDanielleSmith’s 9 question mean a thing to Carney. It’s “No to the 9”
This is exactly the pile of sh*t where voting Option 1 has landed Alberta in.
If Smith has not yet shown any ⚾️⚾️to challenge Carney what makes her think any of the other Premiers will have any ⚾️⚾️ either? (except Quebec that is but they get everything they want when they even hint about separating)
When it comes to having a unique culture, Carney turns a blind eye to Alberta
We aren’t done yet.
@CalgaryRecall I also went there. Why would they tell separatist supporters to only vote on option 10? Would this be an ploy to offer some actual legitimacy to the mail in vote results?
Jumping the chain of command and publicly requesting an audience with @MarkJCarney.
Clearly seems urgent and using today's means to achieve the effect.
I hear the pain in this young man's voice.
Minister of Municipal Affairs Dan Williams has responded to Mayor Farkas regarding closed meeting practices and the special council meeting.
Key point from the letter: “Budget deliberation is not in and of itself an enumerated exception and should generally occur in public session.”
NEW: Prime Rogue has filed 9 Access to Information requests with @NationalDefence on the deadly Oct. 17 fire and explosion at CFB Wainwright.
Every request, why we filed it, and when DND’s legal deadlines fall is now public in one tracker - that will be improved. 🧵
EWERT - "He picked up his first victim while she was hitchhiking home from a bar. He strangled her unconscious, raped her, and then threw her body in a river. Less than 6 weeks later he severely beat and strangled a 15-year-old girl for refusing his advances. He threw her body in a ditch and the girl was found alive the next day. The girl has suffered blindness, severe brain damage, and quadriplegia from the vicious attack."
All welcome here to McGill University.
Nothing says “Canada First” like awarding a nearly $12M CRA security contract to a Pennsylvania company and putting Canadian veterans out of work.

Buy Canadian… for Americans. 😏
The ballots are still being counted, but one thing is already clear: rebuilding public trust will take far more than a referendum result.
Whatever your position on the referendum, the concerns that brought Albertans to this point deserve serious answers. Affordability. Safe communities. Functioning health care. Public services that actually serve the public.
Public trust will not be restored by dismissing those concerns or insulting the people raising them. It starts with the willingness to have adult conversations, answer difficult questions and acknowledge where governments have failed.
What does it mean to live in a free and open democracy if citizens are ridiculed for questioning the direction of their own country? What does a kind and inclusive society mean if that kindness and inclusion disappear the moment someone disagrees?
You cannot claim those values while treating people who challenge you as though they do not belong. That is particularly true of so-called leaders who ask for our trust while showing so little respect for the citizens they serve.
To everyone who asked questions, had difficult conversations and voted: keep participating. Democracy requires more than casting a ballot. It requires room to disagree, challenge the status quo and consider a different future.
You want citizens to believe in this country? Give them reasons to. Answer their questions. Take their concerns seriously. Show them that the freedom, respect and inclusion you speak of extend to them, too.
This should not be this difficult or controversial!

Alberta Referendum - This is the only graph that matters. The number of ballots that were manufactured by the NDP Union voter rolls looks like about 600K any stats data expert would say the same.
Elections Alberta noted in advance that the province had 3,148,343 eligible voters.
The problem is that the numbers below add up to 4,352,679 votes cast.
So not only were there 1,204,336 more votes cast than eligible voters, which is bad enough, but I guess we're also supposed to believe that 100% of the 3M+ eligible voters cast a ballot.
Can someone explain how blatant electoral fraud isn't involved?
