Newest fires are the #TamarackFire and the #SylmarFire which is already at 50 acres demonstrating explosive fire growth. It’s located near the 5 and 210 fwys.

This is an important story for all the wrong reasons. The Category 4 Atmospheric River that hammered SW BC on October 18-19 caused 110 million dollars in just insured losses alone. The cost of that Storm will likely be closer to 250-500 million dollars. Now pile on the nightmare of the Bomb Cyclone on Vancouver Island, and yet again, here we are, sounding like a broken record now. BC will have yet another Billion dollar year in extreme weather damage in 2024. "But, but climate change, Atmospheric Rivers, and Bomb Cyclones are all made up by the media to scare us..." Let me share a piece of advice after 2017, 2018, 2021, 2023, and 2024 Natural and Deadly Disasters in BC. Mother Nature isn't the media. She doesn't give a f*** that you don't like the proper terms used to describe her power.
