@My_Metro announcements have been saying trains are running to timetable but no sign of the 12.32 at shiremoor? Partner is now driving me to central station but now might miss the train the metro should have got me comfortably on time for 🤦🏼♀️
Only in a year where #GiselePélicot holds 50 men who raped her to account does a rapist President get named Person of the Year (for the second time). The message is clear: misogyny rewards power, while survivors like Gisele fight to ensure #ShameMustChangeSides.
14 years ago I joined a special school with the label PMLD stuck on me and was given a sensory curriculum. This week I started University at @BathSpaUni studying Creative Writing!

@Amanda07H@SunderlandOT Thank you for your lovely comment Amanda! So glad you enjoyed the session and found it beneficial. This is so creative and lovely too!! 😍
Disabled by @marksandspencer yet again ‼️Now I can no longer shop independently because the chiller cabinet doors pull toward you & these ridiculous racks at the base get caught on wheels & prevent you getting close enough to reach handles let alone food inside 🧵
My personal philosophy is to vote with the best interest of the most vulnerable person I know in mind. Politics will always be a part of of occupational therapy for me
Really pleased to see this email from @theRCOT Whatever your political opinion, politics & policy shapes our direct practice/working environment and the lives of the people we work with. It is intrinsically linked to occupational justice. Engaging with democracy is so important!
Great to see the contribution occupational therapists can make recognised and acknowledge here. The profession has such potential to support with so many of the issues facing society today @SunderlandOT
“The language that we use… even in the question ‘Do we have a sick note culture?’ It’s cruel”
Chair of the NHS Confederation Victor Adebowale says the use of “performative” language needs to stop, and the government should show more "compassion"

Over 100k Icelandic women protested today for gender equality. There are only 360k residents in Iceland. They didn’t go to work, they didn’t go to school — they protested for the same rights as men. THIS is how it’s done.
"It’s the best day of my life"
Watch as young deaf #NUFC fans react to being invited by Dan Burn and @trippier2 to be mascots for the game against @SpursOfficial.
For this match, @Sela is donating its front-of-shirt sponsorship to @RNID, the national charity supporting the 12 million people in the UK who are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus.

@CrossCountryUK hi, I’m entitled to delay repay for one of your services. I booked via trainline. Do I need to fill out your form or contact trainline for the compensation? Many thanks
I rely on "overseas" carers to survive. To get out of bed, dress, wash, eat, drink, work. They are the most wonderful people doing a challenging job for seriously terrible money. And now, because they bravely came here alone they're denied being with their family. Utter cruelty.
