Today at the Law Development Centre Boardroom, Hon. Lady Justice Eva Luswata Kawuma formally handed over the mantle of Chairperson of the Legal Aid Clinic Advisory Board to Hon. Lady Justice Jane Okuo Kajuga after eight years of dedicated and distinguished service.
Yesterday, the guild president @NgobiThoma joined other learned friends at U24 for a very fruitful engagement discusing the Rule of law in the last 5 year term of @KagutaMuseveni and their expectation in the next five years.
Yesterday I flagged off the @LDC_Uganda Students Sport Gala @LDCStudentsUG with my deputy President @tjackline_kline .
What a spectacular day! The energy, talent, and sportsmanship displayed by our students was truly outstanding. From the pitch you showed that the future of Uganda’s legal fraternity is not only brilliant in the courtroom but equally unstoppable on the field.
A huge thank you to every student who participated, cheered, and made the event unforgettable. You are the heartbeat of LDC.
Special appreciation also goes to the organising committee who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.
Together, we are building not just great lawyers, but well-rounded leaders.
The Law Development Center (LDC) released results for Bar Course Students for the 2024/2025 Academic Year.
I want to extend my gratitude to the entire management team, the Director Dr. Pamela Tibihikirra-Kalyegira, and Head Bar Course Mr. Robert Mackay for the good work they have done.
This particular academic year had its peculiar needs since there were two intakes and a total of about 3,000 students. Despite this, administration was able to arrange an environment that facilitated completion of the Course.
Secondly, to the students who were unable to pass. I hear you comrades. Take this as a delay but not a defeat. Whether you are to repeat the course, or to do an additional (supplementary) exam, we will keep supporting you. Please reach out for any form of assistance within our means.
To those who passed, well done. Enjoy the moment. And congratulations.
To all of us: we must remember to embrace victory with HUMILITY, to embrace loss with GRACE, because they are both TEMPORARY and our EMOTIONS should not override them.
Again, we trust the administration of the Centre and we continue to hope that those who have supplementaries both in (what we call) Category A and B are supported to do them to be able to graduate on 19th June, 2026.
Danke schön.
Congratulations Mr. Ngobi Thomas @NgobiThoma upon securing victory as the Guild President for LDC representing four campuses.
We believe you will take the student community forward and upward.
CONGRATULATIONS once again.
