This short section of cycle tracks along Capel Road is so good. I wish it was extended to Forest Drive!

Adaptable. Met a mate at Wanstead Park for a wander, but then decided we’d like to get back to Forest Gate fairly promptly for lunch. Chucked his pram and child in the bucket, and off we ran/cycled.

‘You’d need a van to transport that!’ (I’m still learning the art of carrying big cargo - I had to adjust the large beams as they slightly restricted braking!).

@NewhamLondon Please super charge incentives (both carrot and stick) for active travel around the Borough. (3 year old and a 2 month year old). ULEZ, Vehicle Emission based parking, more LTNs, play and school streets etc. We’re currently all being poisoned by car fumes.

I genuinely don’t get how people nip out for things like 100 litres of compost without a bike (I decided last minute that I’d like some for planting tomorrow before shops open). It must be a massive faff and over engineering to drive and park, and not fun to walk home with.
