@Headteacherchat I know this post was a while ago but anyone looking for advice on this pro rata TLR issue - teacher or school leader can contact flexibleteachertalent @gmail.com and we can help
I’m waking up to death threats because Twitter has decided that a photo of myself eating an orange lolly in Hackney is a mockery of the people who were stabbed in Reading.
It’s deranged stuff, but nasty all the same. I’d appreciate if people could report some of these tweets.
I haven't commented publicly on the situation with Dominic Cummings as I have waited to hear the full details. I welcome the statement to clarify matters, but there remains aspects of the explanation which I have trouble with. As a result I have resigned as a government Minister.
Any good examples out there of heads acknowledging the challenges for teachers with small children & no childcare (many of whom will be heads too of course)?
Or is it assumed you have the same amount of time as everyone else?
Shout out to single-parent T’s in particular 💪
@SaysMiss "Unless the TLR is officially job-shared then you’re doing the whole role. And believe it or not, you can actually do a whole TLR role whilst working flex/part time because it doesn’t make you half a person or half as competent." Principal in https://t.co/4erSelE6sr @SaysMiss 2/2
Pro-rata TLR payments: "The TLR is for a whole role, not a part of a role. It’s not shared: it’s a whole role. You’re not doing half a job. You’re doing a whole job. Like, you know, a whole one, wholly. So why would it be pro rata?" School principal quoted by @SaysMiss 1/2
