Well, the contract's signed, so it's official:
Waymakers: An Anthology of Women's Writing about Walking will be out in 2023.
It's the first of its kind, features some truly amazing writing from the C18 to now, and will be published by the lovely @reaktionbooks Huzzah!!
Thanks to @ShaneOhly Ourea Events and James Thurlow @opentracking for organising the first Adventure Sports Events Conference. A valuable day recognising common challenges and learning from the distinctive experiences of others. @LDWA1 found itself among friends. #getoutside
Iโm looking forward to attending the first https://t.co/BNqs8ZFlPa today and meeting other organisations facing the same challenges as @ldwa1#getoutsidesafely#longdistancewalking
Beyond proud that despite the pandemic leaving my industry in turmoil, catching Covid and having an unexpected baby, Iโve managed to (somehow) keep going and am now a finalist for the @travelmediawrds in the Best Broadcast and Sustainability Feature categories. Thanks so much ๐
Potential for the @LDWA1 Anniversary Recipe Book maybe. These bad boys are Shropshire Butter Buns. Not just any Butter Buns either as these are Hignetts of Pontesbury Butter Buns. #WalkThoseCaloriesOff#MunchingTheMarches
@pubsandwalking@LDWA1 A very full and interesting 48 hours with 1 to 1 catch-ups and the full NEC in person. Great to see and be working with the team again ๐
Delighted to be in York for the first face to face meeting of the @LDWA1 NEC since January 2020! Hope to meet some local members for a walk and talk tomorrow evening too ๐
Just got back from some hillwalking to find the 150th Strider on my doormat. Thanks to Graham Smith (editor) for a great anniversary issue. The reprint of the very first Newsletter illustrates just how far the @ldwa1 has come ๐ Also available to read online.
Lovely LDWA Fleet Street history walk led by @DameJulieWelch - great to hear the history of the street and publishing in London. Julie's book -> https://t.co/cIwPbOH2c8
