A moment of pride in @LesothoRedCross for their incredible work in the communities in Kena.
From mentorship and education to nutrition and HIV care, children are finding hope—and becoming changemakers.
💡 One young man, Mr Nkopane Maema, once an orphan as his parents died when he was a young boy, is now a certified pharmacist volunteering at the same clinic that supported him. His journey inspires me to believe in a brighter future. Thank you Lars Amundsen Family Foundation for enabling the IFRC to support this program.
🏥 The Kena clinic serves 7,000+ people in a hard-to-reach area, with patients walking up to 8 hours for care. Despite limited staff and resources, it offers HIV care, mother and child care, and more.
IFRC will continue to work with Lesotho RC to support these incredible initiatives.
🇱🇸 Grateful for the warm welcome in Lesotho during my first visit as IFRC Secretary General!
