"I don't know of any other head coach that would be as willing to share the limelight as he is"
“The people that are leaders on your team have to be committed to doing things the right way."
Leadership isn't about establishing rules.
Leadership is about setting standards.
Leadership isn’t about telling people what to do. It’s about showing them what excellence looks like.
Tonight was our Performance Specialist’s final match 🥹
Tom, thank you for 4 amazing seasons and everything you did for the players, the staff, and the organization 🌹

Future #Patriots Hall of Famer Julian Edelman on the city of Boston:
“Boston’s the best town… I’ve got a lot of great relationships with the Celtics… that’s the cool thing about playing in Boston… I’ve literally been to a championship basketball game… Red Sox World Series victory games, I’ve been to the Bruins winning in [2011 or 2012]…
and it’s kinda competitive… if the f****** Bruins would go out and win one… it’s love… but like also like, they can’t be out showing us…
Boston was fun… they don’t have like weather seasons… it’s football season, baseball season, basketball season, or hockey season. That’s how you know what time of year it is.”
Maxx Crosby: “That’s dope. Yeah, I love Boston. Boston’s a vibe.” 👀

.@Lindsay_Schnell asked Geno Auriemma how he made sure Paige Bueckers' spirit wasn't broken while injured last year.
An incredibly insightful two minute response ensued.
"She was always the most upbeat, positive person in the gym. You knew that when she went home she was a completely different person. You knew that it was killing her and tearing her apart, but great players like that, they carry a light around with them because she's a positive player who shines light on other people... But privately, yes, it tore her apart. I only saw it manifest itself once. We were playing at Tennessee. You come to UConn you want to play in a Tennessee game... I saw her breakdown in the locker room that game... These kids, this is what they dream of when they go to college and play basketball and if their dream taken away from them, it's like they're half a person. Some people are just miserable and let it beat them and some people, they don't let that happen. And Paige is one of those people."
This was the definition of a schedule loss for the Celtics. They landed at 5:30am yesterday after playing three games in four nights to end a 10-day road trip. Then, without Porzingis, hosted a rested Suns team that had its entire Big 3 healthy and needed a W.
Boston won by 15.
"Anyone can be average. What separates people? People that are willing to work every day. People that are willing to do things that aren't fun. People that are willing to look at their weaknesses, then try and commit to a way to make their weaknesses strengths." (Pat Summitt)
Royals sporting director Kelly Cousins said if she could change one thing about the NWSL Expansion Draft it would be to “get rid of it.”
Said she would prefer to just acquire players via trade, like @UtahRoyalsFC did this week.
"I'm certain none of us are averaging career-highs in points... it's for the betterment of the team."
Jayson Tatum talks about Celtics' starting 5 making sacrifices in scoring each night to help achieve their ultimate goal of Banner 18
Just getting to watching Kraft's hit on College GameDay. Thought this quote on the #Patriots success was interesting:
"It's all about people. Collecting good people, people of good character. People who are loyal.
I'm very happy that most of our key people have been with us a long time. You know, we have a head coach who's been with us 24 years... that's the model we have in all of our companies. To try and pick the best people."
🎥 Brad Stevens Leadership GOLD.
The best leaders are Warm and Demanding.
- Leaders must listen.
- Leaders must support.
- Leaders must have high expectations.
"Yes, there are expectations and demands, but yes, you are a human being."
Relationships and Expectations Matter.
With my favorite holiday upon us, what a great time to reflect. After 10 amazing seasons with the Thorns and Timbers, the time has come for me to begin a new chapter and challenge.
