Hello friends. I have more music for you! This one is an "acoustic" version of The Chase Is On, one of my favorite tracks from the Mesoscales album. It was produced after the original album release, so it's not included with that. I am, however, uploading it individually to the regular streaming/distribution services.

It features only the orchestral string section, a new backing acoustic guitar, and slightly expanded piano parts. Give it a listen next time you set your sights on a supercell!

Fair weather time lapses are just as cool as stormy ones. I mean, doesn’t that second one look like it would be fun to dive into?

And on a more technical note, the first one shows a fine example of increasing speed shear with height. Notice how the clouds go more or less straight up, then quickly float off to the right.

Drier air exists aloft as well, so those wispier tops quickly disappear as they mix out and get stretched apart by the wind. Only the more *robust* updrafts can punch through and continue upwards.
