Legumes for planet and population health. A research project on health consequences of consuming more environmentally sustainable diets.
Run by @FieLangmann
There has been a long period of silence, but I have been busy with courses. The most recent one was "Reproducible Research in R" @DDEA_Denmark. I am very happy, because now I can at least share errors with supervisors on GitHub ๐ฅณ
Thanks for the well fit meme @rstatsmemes.
Could not have said it better. In this video @ChristinaDahm, my main supervisor, explains the need to focus on the healthiness of environmentally friendly diets. https://t.co/ZtvlwKQL7M via @YouTube
I love wordplays and just want to give a shout out to the "Everything is Pulse-able" article from @Eating_Better. The alliance works to create a fair and sustainable food environment, where everyone has access to healthy, affordable and nutritious food. https://t.co/FRyAcZbIji
To celebrate #WorldPulsesDay today, I will listen to this song on repeat as much as possible. The song is in Danish but the tune is very catchy. Further it is part of the pulses-promotion strategy from the Danish Ministry of Food @Foedevare

Did you know, that this Friday is #worldpulsesday? Feb 10th is designated to appreciate the significance and benefits of #pulses, the edible pods of #legumes, e.g. #beans. They provide protein, fibre, vitamins, and minerals, and are #environmentally considerate too 1/4
Legume crops fertilize the soil, this minimize the need for adding fertilizers when cultivating new crops afterwards. They basically feed both the planet and animals while lowering water pollution risk. A definite win-win! 3/4
What is LEPPOH really about? A brief introduction to the initial project. LEPPOH will hopefully expand to include more research within the "legumes for planet and population health" frame. The presentation is from the 2023 PhD-day @AarhusUni_int#legumes#health#planet
Tomorrow is show time for a lot of PhD students at @AarhusUni Health who will present their research at the annual PhD-day ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ซ๐ง๐ฝโ๐ซ LEPPOH will be presented at a flash talk by @FieLangmann
I saw this in a co-supervisorsโ tweet. Definitely also valuable and useful when applying for funding. Received a rejection explanation from a fund the other day and Iโll for sure include โweaknesses and how to handle themโ in coming applications
A huge thanks to @DCAcademyDK for sponsoring my participation in the PhD-Course โThe Talented Researcherโ module 1. The course is super rewarding and makes me reflect on a lot of things in relation to my career. 10/10 would definitely recommend to other junior researchers ๐๐ป
This morning I stumbled upon "The Big Climate Database" (https://t.co/lc2hftiCi6) from @concitoinfo, a green think tank who developed the database as a tool to estimate the climate impact from the different food-items we consume. #foodandclimate#phdlife#climate
So, I did this flash talk/lecture competition at the Danish Epidemiology Society 30-year Anniversary meeting, and now the video is on youtube - find it here. https://t.co/67fLWxD8EV via @YouTube
So, this happened some weeks ago. I have practised and feel ready and confident to present in the lecture competition this coming Tuesday. I will keep you updated, and if possible I will record the lecture for you can see it too #lecturecompetition#phdlife@AarhusUni_int
