@MrPiddles Not everyone is on the hunt for followers. I don’t have 100 & don’t even follow 200 although I’ve had this account for a decade). I’m here to discover information and interact with people; we don’t need to be more than strangers who stop for a good conversation.
@atrupar He’ ABSOLUTELY correct…so how does he not understand the NECESSITY of HERD IMMUNITY, achieved by voluntary IMMUNIZATION? Isn’t this enough evidence to pause or revoke his license? When will we figure out equitable, not punitive, repercussions help everyone?
The Trump administration plans to end a federal requirement that states have public input on data center construction.
This would stop local residents from raising concerns or learning about data centers in their neighborhoods.
@thejackhopkins I wonder if there is a mechanism for states to sue Hegsmurf on behalf of its currently enlisted sailors for either endangerment or wrongful prosecution?
@ToddRSimmons@Mario_Sneh But elements of our country are seeking to return women to an era when they didn’t work at all. In that case, his ex-wife would have zero saved for her own retirement AND no work experience to earn close to the 30K she’s receiving, a NOT substantial amount to live on.
I’m happy to share this because I don’t care what side of the aisle you sit on, this is a fact.
Speaker Mike Johnson this is for you.
Concerning Social Security payments, my contributions were made for over 50 years on every salary I received. From my first part time job until I retired. I always had a job.
The Social Security check is now (or soon will be) referred to as a "Federal Benefit Payment?" I'll be part of the one percent to forward this.I am forwarding it because it touches a nerve in me, and I hope it will in you. Please keep passing it on until everyone in our country has read it.
The government is now referring to our Social Security checks as a "Federal Benefit Payment." This isn't a benefit. It is our money paid out of our earned income! Not only did we all contribute to Social Security but our employers did too.
It totaled 15% of our income before taxes.
Congress took our money and used it elsewhere. They forgot (oh yes, they knew) that it was OUR money they were taking.
They didn't have a referendum to ask us if we wanted to lend the money to them. And they didn't pay interest on the debt they assumed. And recently they've told us that the money won't support us for very much longer. And now, to add insult to injury, they're calling it a "benefit", as if we never worked to earn every penny of it.
Just because they borrowed the money doesn't mean that our investments were a charity!
Let's take a stand. We have earned our right to Social Security and Medicare. Demand that our legislators bring some sense into our government.
Find a way to keep Social Security and Medicare going for the sake of that 92% of our population who need it. Then call it what it is: Our Earned Retirement Income.
99% of people won't forward this to their timelines…..will you?
Please, for the sake of our country, repost this.
@CrimPracMan@hwinkler4real I’m just trying to understand why unvaccinated immigrants get measles and bring it with them, but unvaccinated Americans don’t get sick until the unvaccinated immigrants arrive.
Is someone trying to argue measles ethnicity?
@RoyIsThaTruth Yep! Called for massive deregulation of safety and environmental rules and they either didn’t think it through to the potential end or didn’t give a rat’s fundament.
Mega millionaires and billionaires are suing New York City over the pied-à-terre surcharge, which is a tax on the wealthiest New Yorkers who own second homes worth more than $5M. A tax that would fund programs for working people.
They are literally spending millions in legal fees so they don't have to pay slightly more in taxes on their SECOND HOMES THAT ARE WORTH MORE THAN $5M.
What happened to all the threats of leaving the city? Oh right, you were full of cyclosporiasis explosive diarrhea.
A new study confirms that Medicare for All would save 114,000 lives every year and reduce overall healthcare spending by more than $1 trillion annually.
Do not tell me we cannot afford Medicare for All.
What we cannot afford is a broken healthcare system based on greed.
Joe Biden had a bad debate. Approximately 765 stories and opinion pieces in the NYTimes.
Donald Trump had 300 bank accounts closed because of evidence of money laundering. Nothing to see here, says the same NYTimes.
ICE kidnaps 18 year old kid—wearing all black clothes & no badge or ID.
"Please help me!" he cries in Spanish.
"I am begging you! Is anyone there!"
"Help me! Mom please help!"
"Mom I really need you right now!"
"He's hurting me! Why are you taking me!"
"I didn’t do anything!"
Eventually it takes 4 agents to throw him into an unmarked car—and speed away to unknown location.
This is the second case in a week of a son being taken away in front of his mother—on the exact same block.
ICE must be targeting this neighborhood in Glendale, California.
Ricardo Miranda doesn't have an active account on this platform—so posting first full length and credited video here to help raise awareness.
@KChenoweth In our house we call it Sacred Baby Day. The most important point I make to the child is that those first parents had choices they didn’t make out of some level of love, and for that I am grateful for their great gift to us of a child. Best wishes to your family on this day.
